Zipgrad01
I am pretty excited to start getting the first news about the new regimes recruiting efforts. Hopefully we start getting some updates about current commits and new recruits that are being discussed. I hope he has a nice list of on the fence Notre Dame recruits that were interested in playing for them, but just didnt quite get offers. xu9697
Looking at Rivals at lunch, here are some possibilities:Recruited by Ianallo while at ND, few if any big offers and uncommitted according to the site:Brad Bars, LB, Nashville, TNScott Secor, K, New Lenox, ILTyler Warden, QB, Glen Ellyn, IL_______________________________Commited to ND, recruited by Ianallo...Only name that I could see who MIGHT leave would be Tommy Rees, QB from Lake Forest IL. His other offers were BG, Miami (OH), CMU, Stanford and Tennessee. If he was REALLY close to Ianallo and Weiss, perhaps he would at least take a look at Akron and see an opportunity for a big time career here. ________________________________Recruited by ND, unclear who from ND was recruiting in some cases, not many if any big offers, could fit with what Ianallo wants to do on offense, defense, and or recruiting/area:Ryan McCollum, LB, Warren, OH (he was also being recruited by Akron)Stacy Blunt, WR, Dublin, OHJerry Boyd, DB, Indianapolis, INJosh Marshall, QB, Fredricksburg, MDMichael Perkins, RB, Valparaiso, INChris Robinson, RB, Elsie, MIAnthony Rose, ATH, Amherst, VACould have a Blunt & Bars on the team. Nice!
Quickzips
Scott Secor, K, New Lenox, ILIf he can put a ball through the uprights from more than 30 yards away (heck even from inside 30 yards) then get him fitted for a Zips uniform, stat! Spin
How about it wouldn't surprise me if the new head coach would meet in person with the WR from Wadsworth in the very near future? One reason he signed with Ak because JDB was a WR coach in the NFL.RI was a WR coach at Notre Dumb, so I got my fingers crossed!!! zipsfan111
I read a newspaper article on Potts and he talked about how he wanted to be a Zip and plans on signing with Akron come February. So it looks like we have one commit locked up and still planning on playing at Akron.

GoZips
I live in Wadsworth. This kid, Schrock is one tough kid. A great pick up for the Zips. I have seen himplay a number of times. He is more than a TE.
ctmjbowes@sbcglobal.net
Awesome. These kids coming into the program this year are going to be the leaders who will play a critical role in the essential rebirth of UA football as a winner. Dr Z
Today was JUCO signing day. Akron has missed out on recruiting any JUCOs because of the coaching switch. The last four years we had all year to sign JUCOs.....we won TEN division I games (Ken+ & EMU don't count) in those four years. I still think I'll sleep pretty good tonight. mes102
thought to give an update on the recruits so far according to ESPN Recruiting. We have 7 verbal commitments so far(the Brookhart targets). We also have 50 recruits that are undeclared that are considering Akron. It may be a little behind on some, but let me know if that's the case.http://insider.espn.go.com/ncf/recruiting/...schoolId%3d2006
