After being a lurker for a while, I decided to register today and become a contributing member to ZN. I have a few comments/questions.1. Good Christmas for me. Got a Margaritaville grill and authentic Zips jersey.2. Anybody know if there is a Zips 10X10 canopy available for purchase? I have checked everywhere I can think of and Akron is not available. Hell, I even found a Liberty University canopy. I know the University had one made promoting gozips.com. It's even pictured in the centerfold of the latest Akron magazine. Anybody with connections know if an alumnus could order one of these from where ever they were purchased? If all else fails, I am going to have one custom made for me. I figure if I go retro, I can have one made with the varsity A fairly simply.3. I realize it is a little early, but is anyone planning to go to the Kentucky and/or Indiana game(s)? If so, I would like to coordinate with you so we could convoy/tailgate together.4. Can't wait for the spring game.

I can't help you with the canopy, but welcome aboard 'Keener! It's great to see ZN continuing to build the fanbase. GP1, I hope you're OK with the B-word (build) in this particular case

No objection here. In fact, I can't find the word build in the original post. I wonder how many canopies could have been built in the same amount of time the MAC has been "building" the conference. Even if someone built one canopy per day since 1948, you could have built in excess of 22,000 canopies...or a bridge to China.

I am in charge of the Kentucky game convoy. I am just hoping we have enough able bodied drivers after we get back from the Alabama game the weekend before we role to Big Blue country.

You guys leaving from Akron will be traveling thru the entire state of Ohio. Maybe getting a party bus to make stops along the way is the only logical solution? There is a small but quality group of Zips tailgaters that attends many road football games. Check back in at the end of the summer. Good luck finding a Zips canopy. The University Team Shop doesn't even offer basketball jerseys.
