Tied at 15 10:00 left in 1st half, Akron having a little foul trouble but good on the boards. edit: ak 15 Can't 21 8:51. AKRON ALREADY OVER THE FOUL LIMIT and turning it over like crazy
Good on the boards? Not the game I am watching, Can't is killing us on the boards!
lol, I guess I got excited when we had like 3 offensive rebounds in a row

Strange first half. Much more a game of runs than the slug it out back and forth game we are used to seeing from a Can't/Akron game. Bench play seems to be the difference right now as the Zips bench is arguably outperforming the starters. We've had a Brett McClanahan sighting with 7 points including a nice fadeaway on a post-up, a layup on a dribble drive and a 3 on the break from a McNees feed. Cvetinovic has played very well as well. Unfortunatly Can't's bench sparkplug Mike McKee has lit us up for 10 points so far. Zips are a deeper team than the flushes, though. Have to do a better job on the boards in the 2nd half. Too many second chance points for Can't. Also have to look more for early offense. Can't's halfcourt defense is tough.

We need to learn to get through the one down part we have in every away game......it happened in Buffalo and now in Can't.....If we can get through that we'd be 5-0 in the MAC! Team still needs to grow up a bit
It seems like today there were multiple down parts. I hate to say it, but this team is frustrating me so much this year.

...and 2 of those 3 barely played in the second half, despite having good 1st halves. They didn't know what to do against us when Zeke was on the floor. He makes guys adjust there shot just be being in there. The one thing I hate about Dambrot is his rotations. He seems to worry too much about the other team's strengths as opposed to using his own. Instead of burying Can't with Zeke and Nik down low, he went to his "mini me" lineup with 3 guards with two being sub 6 foot. Can't simply countered with bigger guards. Nothing like a 5'8" guy guarding a 6' 5" shooter!

Not quite as bad as the Bobkitties destroying the Canadians, 99-77. And with the Sweaters beating BG, 64-52, the first full round of the MAC East ends in a 4-way tie between the Zips, Can't, Canadians and Sweaters tied at 3-2. Classic MAC East.Gentle reminder: Only the MAC tournament really counts.

at least we have a good soccer team...
Too bad 95% of the people (me included) dont give a crap about soccer.
I'm glad you don't really speak for 95% of the people even though you think you do!

I'm thinking maybe that's where Sweich comes in. When we're in a drought, put Sweich in for a couple of minutes. Say what you will about him, the man can score. That's all we need in those droughts--a couple of quick buckets. Once the drought's broken, take him back out.You may now call me an idiot.
