Let'sGoZips94
I was listening to Michael Reghi on 850 WKNR. He started to promote the MAC tourney, then right after, mentioned the Can't vs. Akron game. Reghi said something like how well each team has set themselves up for the tourney and how fun the game is going to be. He also mentioned he is trying to get his radio show to be broadcast from the JAR or something like that. That just proves how HUGE of a game this is! ESPN2 prime time, Reghi's show (maybe), and it's for the NIT auto bid, MAC reg. season title, and a rivalry? The game can't come fast enough! Dr Z
Did he say "it may be cold out today but Akron and Ken+ are going to heat up the JAR on Friday"?

OZoner
Love Reghi. True friend of the conference. Have a good story from Cleveland last year if anyone's interested.
GoZips88
I definitely welcome the additional UA exposure Reghi doing his show from Akron would bring. That's about where it stops for me.I've NEVER seen anyone primp himself like Reghi does - GIVE IT A REST! Ever watch the guy as he's about to go on camera? He's always messing with SOMETHING - hair, shirt sleeves, suit jacket, pocket square. I about when I saw him do an urban handshake and chest bump with McNeese the other night. He fist bumped his producer a couple of times just for good measure. A real piece of work. Would LOVE to know who the REAL Michael Reghi is - not the cool-talkin', contrived version we get to see on and off camera or hear on the radio.OK, I'm done know. That plus his strut....Everywhere I've seen him: at a Browns practice, at the Q, at the JAR and even last Wednesday at BW's after the UB game. Strutting around like he owned the place. The bar had a nice crowd and nobody even recognized him....

xu9697
Did he make any mention of the "ACK-Rowdies"? I was surprised (or I missed it) that this was never brought up. That was quite rough.I like Reghi as a radio personality..for the most part, could care less about the man himself. Went to the CSU game last night= he was sitting about 10 rows from the court (center)..no one within 5 rows of him. I guess he was scouting/staying educated, but it just seemed odd. OZoner
Oh, yes. I was at the one bar in downtown Cleveland still open after the quarters wrapped up last year. Reghi comes in a little bit after me and everyone sort of turns to him and greets him. After a while, we all return to what we're doing and he takes a seat at the bar. This was during the epic UConn/Syracuse battle, so everybody is watching that. Finally, in the fifth OT, Syracuse pulls away a little bit, and we just hear Reghi belt out in his announcer voice, "Syracuse, STARTING TO TAKE OVER!" I don't think the man has an off switch. We thought it was hilarious.
The Hip Zip
He's one of those guys that if you were just hearing him for the first time you just might say say: "Wow, who in the heck is this guy, he stinks !" But having listened to him for so long with the Cav's and the MAC most of us around here just enjoy the heck out of him. He is an entertaining sort and he takes a simple game and makes it fun to watch. I had a short chat with him a few years back and he was nothing short of a complete gentleman.I am still pissed at the Cav's for giving him a very raw deal. Can't even remember who they were, but they were excellent! The game...
