Dave in Green Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 My head hurts. +1. Join the club. The Notorious D.I.G. claims another victim. I hope that my simple question posed yesterday in the Putting a Theory to the Test thread hasn't hurt your head so much that you are unable to respond to it. It's really not a trick question, but a serious and sincere request for a data reference. Link to Question Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Well, it's halftime and Butler is beating Kansas State using strong... Defense! Lol. They actually held Can't State to 20 1st half points. I guess it's Can't State's lowest scoring 1st half of the season. Butler can put the rock in the hoop too though. But it's a low scoring 1st half. Butler up 27-20. Go Bulldogs! Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Oops. Sorry about the above post. K...S...U (Kansas State University) gets translated to "Can't State.". I'm sure you guys could figure that much though. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Strong balance wins championships. You need both a good offense and good defense when playing the better teams. Quote
Lee Adams Posted March 27, 2010 Report Posted March 27, 2010 Everything I have been telling you guys for years has come true tonight. Defense had nothing to do with OU winning that game. They put up a tremendous amount of pressure on GTown to score by scoring a lot themselves. They had nearly 50 at half and nearly scored 100. If you use offense to put pressure on the other team, you will win. You have to hope for too many things to go right if you are expecting defense to win a game for you. I hope tonight was another step forward for some of you in getting away from the 1950s. DUH!!! Quote
