I'm with another school. Further prediction will be he will play one year there and then be out of college football completely. At which point he will not be picking up garbage, but he will be sweeping floors.

Absolutely no way he ends up at YSU.

We already got 2 solid running backs on the roster in Torrian Pace and Jamaine Cook (Cleveland) and we signed three star running backs in Allen Jones (Ursuline), Jordan Thompson (Lakota West), and Adaris Bellamy (4-Star from Florida).

Devoe Torrence is better than any YSU running back there or coming. Regardless he is a linebacker first and foremost and eventually will figure that out.

Also, I dont see him as this "bum" as some people are calling him. He is a tremendous talent that just hasn't got his chance to shine, like i said, when he figures out what his true position is he will be a star.

I beg to differ. He is talented, but I saw a lot better in Northeast Ohio the past few years. And yes, I do believe Allen Jones is better than Torrence.

Same thing I was thinking. There is no way YSU has any running backs anywhere near as talented as him haha

I can't help but laugh when you come around here and try to act like YSU is so superior to akron. Trust me the worst players on Akron's team would be stars for the penguins...

I don't know if I would go that far... I think we've seen in the last few seasons that the difference between FBS and FCS isn't as great as we'd all like to believe, and Akron right now is a bad FBS team. Certainly, our talent level is superior, but there are guys at YSU that would see significant time here, and there are probably a few bums on our roster that would be bums on their's just the same.

With all due respect, Mr. Adaris Bellamy is a 4-star recruit with SEC and Big East offers and he is coming to YSU as a freshmen. After USF pulled his scholarship when Holtz came to town, he was set to sign with the Cincinnati Bearcats but one thing prevented that from happening: Big East rule prohibiting a recruit to sign with a Big East team after previously signing with another.

This kid will likely be in the running for the FCS Heisman, the Payton Award, by the time he is done here. Anyways we got our Spring Game tomorrow, enthusiasm is at levels we have not seen since Tressel with Coach Wolford, and we are expecting a great season.

We ought to compare the attendance's at each Spring Game and see how that turn's out!

PS: Yes, InTheZone is exactly correct. From top to bottom you guys have much more depth than us, but I can assure you we have some kids playing here that would also be able to compete there. Worth mentioning Allen Jones broke all of Alex Allen's records at Ursuline. Hope to meet up with you guys on the gridiron one of these days!

Well stated. Player from FBS make the NFL every year and there is talent there. Heck, kids from D3 make it every year.

There are just too many teams in FBS and the differences between the top and bottom are so drastic the NCAA should find a way to separate these teams. By applying logic, it is impossible to believe that in a 130 odd team division, all of the schools have the exact same ability to compete fairly against one another. I know people don't like to read that, but that's the reality of college football today. It's the way the NCAA wants it. The MAC is an FCS league calling itself an FBS league....we aren't doing ourselves any favors.

The biggest problem is there isn't a single AD out there who would vote for separating FBS because the majority of ADs would find their schools in FCS when it was all over and those remaining would no longer be able to pad their schedule with cupcakes at the beginning of the year. Nobody wants to have on their resume they were the AD who downgraded a program. I'd love to read an AD's resume and see how many times they use the word "build" in it.

He is a tremendous talent that just hasn't got his chance to shine, like i said, when he figures out what his true position is he will be a star.

What if he never figures it out?

Almost to my thirties, I am just now fully realizing how much I enjoy chicken wings and beer. I want to fully realize my potential before it is too late.

Nice. In my mid 30's and realize wings and beer are IT....nothing more to see here...that's it...oh yeah, boobs are nice too...enjoy. :D

My wish is sometime soon the Zips play YSU and end this pointless discussion. Zips would win 9 out of 10 games played against YSU.

I guess that kind of attitude and belief is the way you keep yourself interested in a 3rd rate athletic program.

I would be highly upset with 9 out of 10. There is no excuse for us not to win 10 out of 10.

I would be most upset if we even scheduled that team that much!

I wouldn't go that far boys. Once again, you are vastly overspeculating the difference between teams in a crap 1-A conference such as our own and FCS teams. Sure, YSU hasn't been that good in the past couple of years, and most years we're going to have a better team, but in a given year that we're down, and they're up, they can certainly beat us, and history shows that (just ask GP1 :P ). I guarantee you that about half of the FCS playoff teams from last year would've beaten us.
