InTheZone Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 I think that this Saturday will be remembered as the day the "Big 4" in the MAC really lost their dominance over the rest of the league. It's been happening for a while, but today was an exclamation point. Can anyone remember the last time Toledo, NIU, and BG all lost conference games in the same week?? Miami was the only "Big 4" team not affected by today, but they'd already essentially fallen off their horse with the loss to CMU earlier this season. Is parity in the MAC here to stay?? Quote
UA Fan Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 No! Zips will one day soon be head and shoulders above the rest Quote
Buckzip Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 Get a new stadium, along with the other new facilities, and keep winning, and we will get our pick of recruits. Let's keep it going Quote
InTheZone Posted October 30, 2005 Author Report Posted October 30, 2005 Apparently, according to the BG message board, there were a lot of Zips fans there and apparently they were loud and got some bottles thrown at them towards the end of the game. I'm anxious to hear if that included any of the Nation's finest Quote
AK-Zips Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 There were troops from the nation on hand! Our crowd was great; they were loud and even had about 45 students make the trip and went over and harassed the BGstd folks during the 4th quarter! It was awesome!. ON TO BALLS TATE! Quote
msopher Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 The Big 4 may have went down this past weekend but let's see if one of those teams is the MAC champion at the end of the year. Quote

I don't even think any of those teams will be in the Championship game. It'll be a rematch between CMU and Akron. Quote

We need them to stumble. Quote

Buckzip Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Funny how the teams described as cake walks are the teams we beat...Except OU. Quote

I'm anxious to hear if that included any of the Nation's finest As a rule of thumb, I tend to avoid getting bottles thrown at me. I do my best to be loud, obnoxious, and make as many smart@$$ remarks about the other team as possible. It pisses their fans off an makes our fans laugh. If I don't have at least one fan looking at me in pure disgust, someone telling me to shut up, or making nearby opposing fans moving to another section, then I haven't done my job. Quote

Akron and CMU will lose one more game. Quote
RACER Posted November 2, 2005 Report Posted November 2, 2005 just like you predicted we would have no chance to win at bg. Quote
