GoZips
Something smells about this entire LeBum episode. If LeBum and Miami-Wade have been planning since they played on the Olympic team together, how can we be sure that LeBum didn't "throw" and possibly even bet on the playoffs? Remember the oddly sore right elbow? Twice the Cavs lost to the Celtics when they should have steam rollered them. Did LeBum really, really want to win the NBA Championship as a member of the Cavaliers? Just speculation. Food for thought. nothing more. What a chump. ZachTheZip
Cheating isn't cheating unless it helps you win. "Cheating to lose" is just another phrase for stupidity.
tbozeglav
It wouldnt be cheating since it didn't "help" him, but throwing games to purposefully find a way to leave a team would be a major, major offense in the world of professional basketball's unwritten rules. I certainly hope LeBum didn't throw the games, but at this point, ANYTHING is possible.
zip37
Indeed, food for thought, but I'm going back to my pre-LBJ ways-- ignoring pro basketball. I am sick of all pro-sports with the mugging for TV, dancing when a good [not great] play is made. Someone should have shoved the ball up Ikky's nose [or other orfice] when he did the 'shuffle'. zipdiehard
Kind of odd too how the Heat just happened to purge their roster while taking on NOTHING in return... What happened to the rule where you had to do dollar for dollar, or at least a percentage? Top 5 picks traded for lousy future 2nd round picks, just to dump salary??? How come the Cavs never could move guys this way? I think it was George Karl that brought up that something wasn't right about all this. Spin
I don't think he quit. I think he lost his faith in this team, the coach, and his teammates. Brownie was destroying the match-ups, Mo was here today gone tomorrow, Jamison was suppose to be "Robin" but couldn't hit the side of a barn, Delonte was his usual psychotic self. It all seemed to turn around when his good friend Z got in the game, made a monster block, the crowd went wild, and Brownie got mad and benched him. Bron was spitting nails. After that, series over. He figured right then he couldn't even carry the team himself with Brown making the adjustments. And that probably sealed the Cav's last chance to resign him. Think about it. Pat Riley's protege? Or Mike Brown sitting Shaq with 3 fouls all night, and Z getting benched for "showing up" the coach? Wade and Bosh? or Mo and Delonte? 80' winters, or 80 inches of snow? zipdiehard
Did you catch Bosh's Freudian slip when talking about the 3 of them playing toghether? Said waiting "days and months", then corrected himself by saying "not days and months". Sounding more and more like this was planned all the way, and LeBron took Cleveland, NY, Chicago, and LA for a B.S. ego ride. Man have I lost a great deal of respect for what seemed like a guy with his head on straight. Guess all of NE Ohio might have been suckered. This ones working just fine for people who truly believe Lebron owes them or Cleveland loyalty.
