skip-zip Posted July 20, 2010 Report Posted July 20, 2010 Well...could be better, could be worse.....as far as being able to get our own fans there. I don't think we could ever get a closer location for us than N. Carolina, like we had last year. Unless it's in a dome, like where we played in the 1987 title game. Quote

I really hope that the NCAA continues to rotate the tournament around the nation. That is really the best and fairest way to bring this greatest of NCAA championship events to spectators throughout the nation. I also like the comment on the site that said: "That's nice for Birmingham, but you have to wonder why the NCAA would select a state where only two of its nine NCAA Division I schools even bother to field a men's soccer team." Communities like NC capitol area, Santa Barbara, Albuquerque, maybe Dallas-Ft Worth, who traditionally support their local schools and teams should also have a leg up over places like the Southeast. I wonder what UAB's attendance #s are like. Their program is improving, and this will help them more in recruiting -- I guess. Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted July 21, 2010 Report Posted July 21, 2010 California this year, Bama next year. I like it. Quote

If I'm not mistaken it was in Columbus a few years ago. But NC was nice as well (even though the weather didn't cooperate)! Quote
