Anyone get their tickets yet? I think today may be the first day of their arrivals. If so, did anyone get Lot 9 again this year? I called last week and the people seemed to think that some of us could get our lots again.

I talked to someone in the ticket office yesterday and all season tickets and parking passes are being assigned this week and to look for them to arrive the beginning of next week. I was told that parking passes would be assigned in order of priority level relating to the press release back in June. Basically, if there are spaces remaining in lot # 9 after the premium/priority reserved buyers, then there is chance a limited number may receive our same lot as last season. You can still call in and order your season parking pass – which would guarantee you a spot on the stadium side of campus outside of the premium donor lots.

Funny...they told me the same thing last week.

Just curious, but what do you plan to accomplish with this comment? The negativity on ZN.O is starting to get ridiculous.

You could find some threads that are passionately negative. This is not one. Take the soap box over to one of those threads. Any message board will be somewhat negative especially when supporting a 3-9 team and an athletic department experiencing some growing pains. It happens.

No kidding, Max. I never said this thread was "passionately negative". It's just that I have noticed many members on here complain about anything they can find. We all want UA to be a legitimate competitor in athletics. Support is a necessity, and it is not in place here...that's for sure. Some Akron "fans" need to grow up and realize Akron Athletics don't revolve around them. I'm not saying you or grad, but it's embarrassing to be associated with those Akron "fans" who are plain selfish and ignorant. I understand the emotional attachment and loyalty to a school; therefore, one expects to be taken care of. The fan base has a critical role with building successful athletic programs. But that also means true fan support, not just the criticism.

Hmm...my reason for this thread was due to anticipation. There was nothing negative about it. I am also on edge because I dont want booted from Lot 9!

I planned to accomplish saying that they told the other poster the exact same thing they told me except a week later. Why do you think I started the thread to begin with? I was expecting people to be getting tickets based off what they university told me when I called. Not sure why this is turning into a big deal?

I think some if not all of the negativity could be eliminated by winning some games. We could talk about the positive then. A 3-9 season, recruiting violations, player conduct issues, and booting loyal fans from half empty tailgating lots has led negativity to rule many football threads. I sense optimism in conversations about the stadium, anything Zips soccer, Patrick nicely, the defense, some of Ianello’s choices, campus improvements, Proenza, and even some about increased media coverage. Please understand that people are free to express how they feel. The negativity on the football board is not baseless. Read some soccer and campus improvement posts if you need some positive in your life. Until then we are eagerly anticipating opening day.

I, too, am greatly anticipating the start of the season. :D My apologies for offending anyone.

Welcome to ZNO AK and I also have not received my season tickets. I called today and was told that they are getting orders together this week and to expect delivery next ;)

No tickets here, hopefully tomorrow. No worries for my tailgating, I'm a lot 34 guy. I for one have been trying to keep my negativity in check but it's tough when you've been around a while. Bear with us, we're just a bunch of grumpy old men....

Thank you kindly, Max! I've been a serious follower of ZN since I was 16 (about 5 years), but not much of a poster. Looking forward to the start of Fall. As you guys have said, FB season tickets will be mailed tomorrow...expect them to arrive the middle of next week. For the record, I enjoy reading all of your comments on ZN. I love gauging the opinion of Zips fans. Let's hope this Fall has more positive things to write about :D. Go Zips!!!!

Just got the mail and my tickets were there and I was upgraded from Lot 14 to Lot 9. :)

Got my tickets as well. I am thrilled to keep my lot 9 pass. My dad got his and he got upgraded from lot 10 to lot 9. This makes me think that season ticket sales have dropped quite a bit since last year. I hope that isn't the case.

I received my tix on Friday. I paid for parking, yet did not receive parking yet. Those that received it= was the parking pass with your tix?

It was, yes

Thank you. I have sent an e-mail to my ticket office contact.

Here is my final note on this topic:

A few months ago, someone predicted this would happen:

The good news is - the "Major Donors" probably won't materialize. If the lot was 1/2 full at year's end last season, it will be even less full with a smaller sampling of the public having access. Lot 9'ers will probably get a phone call in August letting them know their cherished Lot #9 wants them back.

It really sucks that someone could make a decision that pissed off, or at minimum stressed-out scores of long-time, devoted Zips fans with a pie-in-the-sky fantasy of filling a gravel parking lot with $5k+ donors. Whomever made that decision has absolutely no touch with reality. That both scares, and disappoints me. I shake my head at the unnecessary public relations blunder.

I'm back in Lot #9. I'm happy. Time to move on - drink some beer, eat some food and enjoy the upcoming college football season.
