Zippy989
Now it becomes clearer.. Miami stomped OU last nite to finish 5-3. Here are the possibilities: Scenario 1: BG wins tonite and wraps up MAC EAST Title Scenario 2: Toledo wins tonite to force a three-way tie with Akron, Bowling Green and Miami all finishing at 5-3. As stated before, the winning percentage of cross-over opponents is the first tie-breaker in a three-way tie. If Toledo and NIU win, the cross-over games look like this: Zips (15-9) BSU (4-4) CMU (5-3) NIU (6-2) BG (15-9) BSU (4-4) WMU (5-3) Toledo (6-2) Miami (14-10) NIU (6-2) CMU (5-3) EMU (3-5) The RedHawks are eliminated even though they own the tie-breaker over the Zips. Head-to-head is not factored into the three-way tie. It now becomes a two-team tie and reverts to head-to-head results between BG and Akron which the Zips win. The winning percentage of the cross-over opponents doesn't matter anymore. If WMU beats NIU.. then BG wins the three-way tie-breaker straight up... Akron (14-10) BSU (4-4) CMU (5-3) NIU (5-3) BG (15-9) BSU (4-4) WMU (6-2) Toledo (5-3) Miami (14-10) NIU (6-2) CMU (5-3) EMU (3-5) This is why we've been hearing all the talk about the importance of the NIU-WMU game to the ZIPS. GO ROCKETS!!! GO HUSKIES!!!
Dr Z
BG favored by 6.5 tonight.
Zippy989
I assume Toledo was favored at home vs NIU last week too??? BG was a 14-point favorite over the Zips even without Omar. Toledo is going to come out mad as hell about their collapse at the end of the NIU game and nothing makes that nasty taste in your mouth go away faster than knocking off your rival to end the season. Should be a great game.. I'll be watching...

Toledo lost the previous week to CMU. They aren't exactly rolling. Tough choice tonight: Cavs/Celtics NCAA Soccer vs. WVU at Jackson Field Toledo/BG on TV What to do? msopher
As a Toledo fan I think they will get smoked tonight. We have a great QB but no receivers who are consistent. BG is rolling with Jacobs right now and I see them winning at home tonight. No road team in the past 7 years has won this matchup and I don't think Toledo has the offensive experience to win this game.
zip37
Me, I'm going to be at Lee Jackson Field, I can't vocally cheer on TOL, but I can the ZIPS, come on "fans", join me! With ball ammunition lock and load.
GP1
Sadly, it will all be over after tonight. No way does Toledo defeat BG. Jacobs is a winner who will not lose this game. I used to think the guy stunk, but all he does is win games and put up huge numbers. Winners win.... BG will beat Toledo by more than 28 tonight. GP1
Gradkowski Jacobs There is no way that Yenzer beats Jacobs tonight. However, our Yenzer WILL beat K-ent on Turkey Day.
Zippy989
The one consistent thing about this season has been the inconsistency. Toledo, BG, Miami, NIU, Akron, BSU, CMU and WMU have all looked really good and then turned around the following week and stunk up the place. This is a rivalry game... throw out the previous week's performances and even the pattern of home team wins (ask NIU if it was a motivator or not). This will be a good game.. Toledo will play for pride and a chance to defend their title. BG will play with talent and with a desire to reach the MAC Championship Game. It will be cold and wet and snowing.... Anything can happen in a rivalry game.... I sure hope it does tonite... I just keep thinking "1st and goal at the BSU 1 yard line"
Buckzip
Jut beat Can't. That is all that UA can control.
MRasor0200
This Toledo/BG game is intense. I keep having to explain to my dad why I'm turning off the Cavs game in favor of a non-Zips/Buckeyes/Browns football game. Speaking of the Bucks, I've never cared so much about a non-Zips game since the Fiesta Bowl in 2002. blogs.ohio.com/rasor

Z-Pouch
The impossible is possible.......TOLEDO WINS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice prediction GP1. Have a little faith Did everyone else hear the ESPN announcer's kiss of death to the Zips and I quote "If Can't State beats Akron, it will be the biggest upset of the year in the MAC !! (chuckle chuckle, chuckle)". :screwks:
zff
It seems the NIU fans are rooting for the Zips so they can get pay back in the MACC game. Well come NIU let's win so we can face you guys again. And Whip your ass one more time!!!!!!!

Well come NIU let's win so we can face you guys again. And Whip your ass one more time!!!!!!! Let's not go that far. This team is definitely not ready to be playing in a MAC championship game, but after getting snuffed out of a bowl last year, I could care less if we are ahead of more deserving MAC teams. BEAT Can't!!
