It's hard to believe a team that doesn't play anyone for six games loses to an average team.

In all seriousness, it is the reason why the computer rankings are more important than the human rankings. Most humans don't get to watch every team play or the people voting can't tell the difference between good teams and players. tOSU was never the #1 team because they simply don't have the physical ability. They got physically smashed last night. Nobody notices that when they are playing MAC schools, but it comes out when they play a decent team. They probably aren't a Top 15 team (closer to between 15 and 25) and will lose at least one more thins regular season. They are still in first place in the MAC though.

What I am shocked about over the past two days is how quickly and completely EVERYONE has jumped off the OSU bandwagon. I'm well aware of the tendencies of NE Ohio fans, but did I ever underestimate the reaction from the Wisconsin loss. All week, and especially on Saturday, there were OSU fans EVERYWHERE! Wearing their OSU gear and shouting OH--IO out in random places whenever they crossed paths. Sunday I go out and.....NOTHING and I mean NOTHING! Not a single person wearing OSU gear ANYWHERE and believe me, I was looking for them! The only person I saw yesterday wearing OSU stuff was my buddy, an OSU alum who came over to my house and knew I would give him even MORE crap if he DIDN'T wear OSU stuff! In the past TWO days, I have only seen 2 articles of OSU gear including my buddy! The media is even jumping off the bandwagon. The papers have 1/5 the typical OSU coverage and most of this is from the AP! The Cleveland Plain Dealer has almost as many articles on the MAC schools on their college page as they do OSU articles. Normally you have to go 2,3,4 pages in to find a single MAC article. Hell, there is even one to make the OSU fans feel good their school doesn't suck as bad as Akron. Amazing, simply amazing!

My feelings aren't hurt. I happen to agree with certain points. If you weren't suffering from small penis syndrome like Bobby and GPI, you would have seen that in a previous thread I predicted OSU would lose to WIsci and Iowa. I predicted losing to Miami too. Of course Miami ended up looking like they weren't as good as many thought they were.

You see, being an Alum and fan doesn't always make one a homer. If anyone here can show me a post where I ever stated OSU wa the best team or would go undefeated, I would like to see it.

I still just find it amazing how infatuated you guys are with OSU. It is seriously fun to read how butthurt some of you guys are.

ROFLMAO---First off they wouldn't care what my name is. There are multiple posters that have names like mine. Believe it or not some are ND and OSU fans. There are multiple names that have Buck second. Their is a poster named Zipbuck. I have never seen him attacked. Of course I don't follow him around either.

Secondly, the big part that you miss every time, If I started non stop threads about Akron, you are probably right some would get on me. . However, I have never, ever....I repeat ever started an OSU thread here.

Third..I have started a few Akron threads over there. I have started threads about UA soccer and when UA was in their bowl game a few years back I started a thread. Guess what? Nobody, I repeat, nobody said a bad word about Akron. There was actually a game thread during the Akron/Memphis game. Every single poster that responded was rooting for Akron.

When OSU and Akron played in football nobody said a bad word about Akron. A few asked me who I was rooting for or my thoughts, but that's it. Not 1 bad word. And there are thousands of posters on those boards. I remember a couple posters mentioning how UA is a sleeping giant with their location, facilities and new stadium.

Ask him about the long and glorious history of USF. No one doubts those schools play somewhat tough schedules, but the opportunity isn't there for schools in others leagues. Ohio St. president: Football not my arena

Ohio State president E. Gordon Gee says in the future, he will stick to running the university and leave comments about college football to the experts.

"What do I know about college football? I look like Orville Redenbacher. I have no business talking about college football," he said Wednesday, according to The Columbus Dispatch.

More than a week ago, Gee said teams in the major conferences such as the Big Ten and SEC are more deserving to play for the BCS national championship because they play tougher competition every week. "We do not play the Little Sisters of the Poor," he said.

That didn't go over very well at TCU and Boise State, both of which at the time were hoping to turn undefeated seasons into a case for inclusion in the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game.

Boise State (10-1) lost to Nevada (No. 17 BCS, No. AP) last weekend, and is No. 11 BCS, No. 9 AP.

TCU is 12-0, and No. 3 in both standings.

Observers said Gee's comments fueled the perception that the so-called power conferences suffer from arrogance. It also was noted that according to Jeff Sagarin's computer ratings, Ohio State's strength of schedule, rated No. 64 in college football's top level, was comparable to Boise State (62) and TCU (76).

Gee told the Dispatch he has since decided, "I need to keep my mouth closed."

"I'm very blessed to have the best athletic director and best football coach in the country," Gee said, the newspaper reported. "They run the athletic program and I run the university, and I should have stayed out of there. What I should do is go over to the surgical suites and get my foot extricated from my mouth."

As for the real Little Sisters of the Poor -- a Roman Catholic women's religious order serving the elderly -- Gee said he had reached out to one of the order's homes in Ohio.

"I sent a [personal] check to the Mother Superior up there and invited her to a ballgame," he said, according to the report.
