mes102
FYI: win=3 points, tie=1 point, loss-0 points Men's Soccer Obviously, we have the #1 seed clinched in the MAC. mes102
Women's Soccer Here is the Standings by the whole MAC by points....all the MAC teams play in their regular season matches this afternoon. 1 Toledo 30 2 Central Michigan 27 3 Eastern Michigan 21 4 Northern Illinois 16 4 Western Michigan 16 6 Miami(OH) 14 7 Akron 13 8 Ohio 12 9 Bowling Green 9 10 Can't State 7 11 Ball State 2 12 Buffalo 2 The way the MAC Tourney works, the Division winners get the top 2 seeds. Toledo has clinched the one seed...here's the projection right now: 1) Toledo 2) Miami(OH) 3) Central Michigan 4) Eastern Michigan 5) NIU/WMU 6) WMU/NIU 7) Akron 8) Ohio If Akron beats Ohio in Athens at 3pm today, and Miami(OH) either ties or loses to Bowling Green, Akron gets Number 2 seed and would host Miami(OH) on sunday. IF We would get No. 2 seed, and beat Miami(OH), and say Toledo loses...AKRON would be the host site for the MAC semifinals and final for women's soccer this year. So let's hope we can get some help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO BOWLING GREEN AND GO ZIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Edit: WMU and Buffalo are both looking good, with the winner of FAU-BGSU probably getting the 4th spot. It's crazy how NIU finds themselves eliminated (thanks Yaz!) when they've only lost twice outside of league play (at Washington 1-0, and at home to Oregon St. 2-1) and won at both Wisconsin (2-1) and Northwestern (2-0)! yazan07
I had a chance to speak with Coach Porter last night and he mentioned that NIU is out of the running, which is good to hear since they sometimes manage to give us a little bit of trouble. He also said that Kofi hyperextended his leg and will likely be out for the next game.
UAZipster0305
I believe that on the woman's side, the winner of the MAC East automatically has at least the #2 seed.

MDZip
MAC men's soccer finals 10/30 Western Michigan 2, Hartwick 1 Northern Illinois 1, Bowling Green 0 10/31 Florida Atlantic 0 at Buffalo 1 updated MAC standings Akron-15 points Western Michigan-9 points Buffalo- 9 points Florida Atlantic- 6 points Northern Illinois- 6 points Bowling Green-6 points Hartwick- 3 points Looks like the winner of FAU-BGSU this week will the the 4th team in Akron. What if they tie? If Saturday's game ends in a tie, then multiple tie-breaking scenarios will come into play including win-loss record against common opponents and goals scored in conference games (from the MAC web site). So that won't be known until all of the games are completed. What is known is that UB and WMU will play in one semifinal and the the Zips get whoever survives out of FAU-BGSU. ejcool27
From looking at the schedule if Buffalo and Western Tie....Western is the 2 seed and Buffalo is the 3 If Bowling Green and Florida Atlantic tie Florida gets the 4 seed biased on one less loss from the look at previous mac years.... The only way we would play someone different would be if Western beats Buffalo and Bowling Green beats Florida we would play Buffalo because Bowling Green beat Buffalo earlier in the year
