Dayton has a really good team this year so next Tuesday's game at the Flyer's home court should be a tough one for the Zips. One of the main things the Zips will have going for them is the Zipmeister sitting right behind the Akron bench. :thumb:

Well I won't be able to make the trip, but I will eagerly anticipate a 'Meister sighting on STO next Tuesday! This almost belongs in an episode of In Search Of..., featuring Leonard Nimoy.

Will he be wearing D-real's kangaroo suit?

Should be an interesting matchup. Dayton's Chris Wright and the Zips' Zeke Marshall are both NBA prospects. Wright actually entered this past years draft before deciding to return to school. Both teams are breaking in some new faces with Dayton losing their starting C and returning only one backcourt contributor from last year in 6'4" Junior Paul Williams. The Flyers newcomers are talented though, and include 4 star PG Juwan Staten and Drake transfer Josh Parker who averaged 10.7ppg as a sophomore before transfering and sitting out last season. Being so early in the season, this one might come down to which team can get their new guys acclimated more quickly. Definitly an early season measuring stick for this Zips team.

GO ZIPS!

Apparently news of Zipmeister's impending attendance has hit the Dayton area and over 12,000 other people now also plan to attend. Unfortunately, my Zippy outfit is not expected back from the cleaners in time for the contest. Simply look for the incredibly good looking guy sitting behind the baseline end of the bench with a yellow shirt - that will be me.

You really ought to go with a black and red striped shirt, knit hat and black, round glasses.

If I did people might think I was a member of the pep band. Pay attention, they change hats about 6 times during the game.
