Any thoughts of making these youtube videos so you can just efficiently place them right into a thread here?

I would love to make these youtube videos, but by the rules set by my Executive Producer, I am not allowed. Something to do with ownership of the videos/shows that we do for our stations operation only, or something like that.

I can only imagine. Probably as much pain as I was just to get our media passes for the soccer season. I think we didn't have them for the first week or two. And the same with the basketball season. We literally got them the day before the home opener for the Men's team.

Better than CSU or Can't State at least.

CSU told me: "We dont have media passes, just show a business card or an ID from your publication" I asked how I would get on the field for photos, they said "oh just say your media and walk on through". And people think we are small time!

Can't State: Well they never got back to me, and i've already emailed them for the january basketball game (two weeks ago)...no reply yet. It's just ridiculous.

Essentially what i'm saying is: Be glad that they at least answer emails/respond to phone calls at UA. It could be far worse.

This shows to me an endemic problem right now.

Why in the world would the athletic dept. not be closer with our own IN HOUSE media dept???

If the two player and 1 coach set up is going to be standard throughout the season. You might want to ask your executive producer to buy you a 3-way splitter, two more mics, and three small mic stands. All can be reasonably purchased at B&H. You have a LOT of good audio here, I would love to hear it clearly. Again, nice job.

Funnily enough we do have a splitter and more mics that we can use, just with 4 other teams up here filming stuff, not everything is available every time we need it. Some days it's hard enough getting just 1 microphone because it seems like EVERYONE needs them for something or other! haha

Like I said though in another post, I'll try to make it easier for you all to here everything better and make it a good quality video for you all to enjoy. It's a learning experience for all of us up at Z-TV, so once we find an easier way to get it to you, things will be much smoother

haha I actually enjoyed this song. Apparently, though, if I'm not in the state and I show some of my team how to put the vids online.... they have a lot of problems. Somewhere along the way they did something, and I have no idea what happened. I can try to get it to you now that I'm actually in town, so if you really want it, I'll get it up for you guys.

Also, from my understanding of how the press conference went, they had problems with some o the people that were there too. Some guy kept walking in and out of the room slamming the door each time they came and left, and Akron's AD apparently kept walking very slowly in front of our camera and they had to move the tripod just so he wouldnt be in the shot.... and then he walked in front of the camera again. I guess it was very unorganized in there, and might be pretty bad quality. I'll find out here in a bit when I go back to the editing suite and look at it.
