GoZips Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 Rachel Trecca, worth the price of admission. Thirty points, twelve boards in thirty minutes. Kacie Cassell, true freshman runs the point to perfection filling in for the injured Natasha Williams. Kara Murphy, outstanding senior leadership, princess of hustle. Carly Young, freshman of the year; perhaps. Darn, I could go through the whole roster with superlatives. These gals are great. Three and one start and getting better by the game. Coach Kest knows her game. By season's end we will be sweating bullets wondering if we can keep her here. Finally fun to watch the Lady Zips put on a clinic. Need far more AK-Rowdies in the end zones. Kudos and hats off the ones who were there. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 ABJ article Way to go, Rachel! Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 The article assumes I'm supposed to know who the "Colonials" represent. James Madison? Devry A&M? You never know in the early OOC part of the schedule... Quote
zips4ever2008 Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 The Lady Zips are fun to watch. They are really coming together as a team. Tecca is just amazing. The freshmen are fun to watch as well. I just hope more people come out to support them. When Niagra was here they had about a full section of supporters who really made their presence known. They were louder then the Akron fans. Seeing the Zips play a couple times now, it is dissappointing the lack of support for the girls and Coach Kest. Kudos to the fans who do show up. Whether you're a student/Ak-Rowdy, alum, faculty, whatever and have free time, come out and support the team. Quote
mes102 Posted November 24, 2010 Report Posted November 24, 2010 As a student at UA, unfortunately, I can't make it to many games because they play the same days basically as high school girls basketball and I'm on a coaching staff at one of the local high schools. I did watch them last sunday, and I feel this team will be good, as long as the youth can find ways to win on the road... Quote
