Z.I.P.
He's on the NSCAA Convention show on Fox Soccer Channel Caleb: "We have the NAIA National Player of the Year coming in". Also said that the team will not receive the recruiting rewards of the championship until the 2012 class. We will depend on foreign players to fill the holes. UAZipster0305
Here is our new guy! I am impressed. I never knew Notre Dame College (Ohio) had such a good season. http://naia.cstv.com/sports/m-soccer/spec-rel/120610aaa.html "Dec. 6, 2010 KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer All-America Teams, as selected by the NAIA Men's Soccer All-America Selection Committee. There are three teams in addition to an honorable mention list. Junior forward Luke Holmes of Notre Dame College (Ohio) was honored as the 2010 Brine-NAIA National Player of the Year. The native of Oldham, England earned the American Mideast Conference Player of the Year title. On the year, he led the team with 24 goals and 58 points. He went for five goals and two assists in five National Championship matches in leading the Falcons to a school-record runner-up finish at the tournament. For his efforts in the National Championship, he was tabbed the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament. His goal total is third-most this year in the NAIA and the points mark is No. 3 on the list. So far in his three-year career, Holmes has recorded a school-record 70 career goals and 164 points. The Brine-NAIA Men's Soccer Coach of the Year will be released in mid-January during the NSCAA National Convention in Baltimore, Md." fknbuflobo
trimmy, when you're good, you're really good. The NAIA Player of the Year award was anounced just today, at the same NSCAA convention. Caleb (Houdini) Porter probably met the guy for the first time today. Porter is unreal! fknbuflobo
If I may correct myself, the NAIA Player of the Year was announced last month. My bad. I agree with Zach; there are players in all divisions of college soccer that have pro potential.

RootforRoo44
I assume he will have to sit out a year???? No, he plays NAIA. It has nothing to do with the NCAA so no restrictions.

Plus I do believe in soccer you can transfer out of your current conference and play right away, unlike football or basketball.

NCAA allows one transfer without having to sit out for a season.
bisbee
It will be interesting to see how he does against Div 1 players. He certainly put up some amazing numbers against NAIA competition.

zip37
Let's not forget that NAIA basketball team @ Walsh, could probably mop the floor with any team in Ohio 'cept theoswho. So, as the saying goes 'Not so fast, my friend'. But it's likely he will not ligt it up like he did @ ND.
