Sergeant Zip
Sportsradio 1350 is making a big move for more of the Cleveland and Akron market because WKNR is messing with their lineup. In particular, moving the Jim Rome show. I hope the Zips run some good ads during this timeframe while people are flipping through the stations trying to find Rome. I always have enjoyed the congrats to the National Champs ad run. I still can't believe KNR thinks it is a good move to mess with Rome. zipdiehard
Doesn't do much good until 1350 increases their signal. Get much past Barberton and you lose the station. Friends towards Canton lose it as well.

All his show consists of is him tweeting a bunch of nonsense to his regular "Peeps".

Big Zip
I agree that Rome has gotten terrible. I tried listening recently only to hear him talk to himself about the same thing for 30 minutes. He kept saying the same thing over and over...I got back in the car 30 minutes later and he was still talking about it. He has jumped the shark. Sergeant Zip
I haven't listened much lately and when I can (holidays) for an extended period of time, he is out on vacation anyway. Interesting... maybe KNR is onto something. His following is cult like, so I guess I assumed it was still strong. Although he has stopped the tour stops. Maybe he has "jumped the shark." Is there a better sports option during that time slot? Colin Cowherd? Scott van Pelt? Mad Dog? What are some ZNO's national favorites? When they were locally broadcast, I used to like Mark Patrick on Sports and then Steve Czaben. I like Tony Bruno.
Spin
X's and O's with the Pros at night on KNR. Best local show out there. And of course, typical KNR, they only get an hour while the RBS (Really Bad Show) gets an extra hour to listen to Rizzo's contrived arguments with Hammer and Ned. It was a funny entertaining show, until the personalities of the combatants became the only show. I can only take Jim Rome in small portions. The minute he starts on his horse, repeats the same semi funny joke over and over, or gets off a decent interview and then reads Clone mail about how it was the greatest ever for the next 2 hours, I'm done. The afternoon guys on 1350 aren't bad. Not as good as when they started IMO. If you would have told me 20 years ago I would miss Peter Brown I'd have said you were nuts.
