zip37
Old fats should have been called for a deadball T and an intentional, typical MAC ref didn't haave the stones to make the call.
GoZips88
He set his picks the same way - with a little extra 'nudge.' Box score only shows Hoss the corn-fed, offensive lineman with one foul. MAC officials are OFF-THE-CHARTS bad ...
bUAkronG
like I tweeted @macreportonline(JSF), I am surprised at that foul, he should have been in a hurry to end the game and get some food in his fatarse belly. How Darryl was assessed a T was unreal as well. Other than the unnecessary T there, I think Boroski the tool was actually on top of that situation. Zip Watcher
oddly enough .. other than the hair trigger T on Quincy .. Boroski has been solid this weekend.
GoZips
Old fats should have been called for a deadball T and an intentional, typical MAC ref didn't haave the stones to make the call. Which foul that this turd committed are you referring to? Two that boiled my blood were "called and then reversed" when Fatso hard chucked D-robb in the back with 35 seconds to play, and handed the ball back Western and played on. Then, the one that I think should cost fat assed Steve "I am NOT the class act I use to be" Hawkins a several game suspension is the flagrant foul where Lard Ass kicked a Zip in the back of his leg AFTER the final whistle of the game. That piece of work SHOULD cost both Lard Ass and Fathead Steve Hawkins multiple game suspensions. There is no room in college sports for such poor sportsmanship. Truth be told; the piss poor officiating led to these abuses and Douglas' rant. The officials let WMU beat up on the Zips the entire game while calling ticky-tacky fouls on the Zips. I realize now that Diggs was probably reacting to many cheap shots he took in the course of the game. Do I excuse him? No, but I understand his frustration a lot more now. The MAC front office needs to review the game tape with the head coaches and the officials and levy fines and punishments against Hawkins and all three of the sorry officials. As for Boroski, he should be banned from ever officiating in the MAC again. He is flat out evil.
Let'sGoZips94
Everyone from each school needs to e-mail the commissioner. This is downright insanity. These are game changing calls now.
zip37
I was refering to the front arm shiver Fats laid on Darryl. No need for that in basketball. The Lard ass needs to be undercut next year. I have lost all respect for WMU's lard ass coah too!
RootforRoo44
waiting for the MAC apologists to come out...
skip-zip
Let me remind everyone again that I don't make a habit of criticizing bad officiating. I know that the MAC is always going to be shaky. But, I made particular note of how off they were on Thursday. But, I never imagined that Friday could have possibly topped it. I'll have a stroke if those guys mess things up on Saturday.
Quickzips
I just want to see one game at the Q here where there is actually some rythm and some flow to the game. Maybe not have both teams in the bonus at the 12:00 mark of the second half. Maybe let the players play and the coaches coach without having the constant foul trouble piling up. You don't have to blow the whistle on pretty much every play to keep the game from turning into a rugby scrum. In fact, I think last nights ending pretty well proves that. Sure, the game is normally more fan friendly with less whistles. But, at this point, I'd just settle for the rules being interpreted correctly with some level of consistency, no matter how many stoppages occur. And with the matchup tonight, I'll be surprised if the officials aren't more involved than usual. AND a slow game might be just what the doctor ordered for the Zips to have the best chance to win. Tracker400
I think tonight's game because it's on ESPN the refs will know there are time constraints. ESPN doesn't want tonight's game can't last 2 1/2 hours in regulation. So they are going to let them play tonight.
GP1
Everyone from each school needs to e-mail the commissioner. To what end? MAC officials have always been terrible and you can send e-mails till you are blue in the fingers and it isn't going to change anything. Big Zip
The part that drives me nuts is when the first and second half are officiated so differently. I told everyone watching with me last night it would be like that (it always is) and it wasn't a minute into the second half when Zeke picked up another bullshit call. Blue & Gold
Someone else mentioned this earlier & elsewhere, but the MAC is doing itself NO favors by showing bias against a 4-star 7-footer coming into the league.

That's true. But again, I'll just settle for treating him equal.
breezy123
The MAC sure doesn't strive for excellence in their basketball refs. I think they should show one of the those MAC moment videos at the Championship game tonight and show all the blown calls by the worthless MAC referees. It sucks when you are jealous of Big East Refs.
zip37
What needs to be done is this: Have 2 checks cut 1 for the standard fee and one for the standard fee + $100 IF both coaches agree the game was called CONSISTANTLY [note not necessarly well]. Bet your butt, that would cure the problem.

You'll see coaches continuously rubberstamping the additional $100 for all regardless of how well the refs were for the simple reason that they will see them again in the near future.
