GoZips88 Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Lines up quickly for a two-point conversion and makes it. The 'pair' our staff lacks. Go Toledo. Quote
MDZip Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 But still trying to give it away. A missed field goal and a 15 yard penalty on a play where they had an 11 yard sack. CMU also tied with Kentucky. The MAC looks to be improved this year. We may be in for a heap of trouble. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 CMU also tied with Kentucky. The MAC looks to be improved this year. We may be in for a heap of trouble.I just logged on to post exactly what you just mentioned. CMU outplaying Kentucky. Toledo outplaying Columbus.Toledo's getting homered as well. There have been 3 "ify" calls now taking away UT momentum & a holding no-call I saw on Columbus. Phantom face-mask penalty on UT as well when Toledo sacked Bauserman on 3rd & 10. Quote
InTheZone Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 I told you guys last week that the Suckeyes are not an elite team this year. The fact that they beat us 42-0 should tell us a lot about exactly how far we've come since last year Quote

GoZips88 Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Toledo 4th-and-1 again at mid-field ... and they go for it and pick up 10 yards.Enjoyed the FIU win last night. Enjoying watching Toledo TAKE IT TO tosu today. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 BTN Analyst: "Toledo continues to use mis-direction to keep Ohio State on their heals."Hmm. How novel. Why didn't we think of that? Quote
bandzip Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 They might just do it. 1:30 left in the game Toledo 1st and ten on the OSU 38. Quote
Dave in Green Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 Even though they just missed scoring the big upset and lost 27-22, congratulations to Toledo for playing the kind of game against tOSU that we Zips fans all wanted UA to play last weekend.Toledo proved today what a MAC team is capable of doing. It's not unreasonable for Zips fans to expect their team to be able to achieve the same level of play that a fellow MAC school with comparable resources achieved today.Comparing today's game with the one last weekend will only make frustrated Zips fans more impatient for their team to show clear signs of improvement.Everyone connected with the football program at UA needs to move forward with a greater sense of urgency. you am i Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 There is no reason Akron cannot be playing at the same level as Toledo. Its just a matter of having the right people in charge.Next up for Toledo: Boise State, currently ranked #4. At Toledo; Friday night. Quote

MDZip Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 Discounting UA-Temple the MAC was 5-5 (Miami didn't play). Four of the losses were the BCS team and two to ranked teams. Only one team looked totally outclassed playing like competition. Guess who that was? (sigh) Quote
