GP1 Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 The GoZips.com website shows the Zips playing two nights in a row against Can't at the end of the season. Is this real and if so, why? Quote
Kangaroo Craig Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 I think I saw somewhere that those dates are "either or". As soon as one of those dates becomes firm, they will drop the other one. Quote
Zip Watcher Posted November 18, 2011 Report Posted November 18, 2011 I think the worldwide leader has rights to that game, and can determine (something like 3 weeks ahead of time) which date they want it for. Probably if they're going to broadcast it, it'll end up on Friday .. if not, it'll go to Saturday. Quote

It's a bit of strange to look at on the schedule. Really ought to be date TBA. Quote
Let'sGoZips94 Posted November 19, 2011 Report Posted November 19, 2011 What's really fishy is how Can't State got 2, end-of-the-season home games in a row against us. Anyone know how that happened? Quote

It is a mistake by the MAC Basketball staff. Ricky Stokes told me it was found by the KD when the preliminary conference schedule was produced but they could not reverse the Can't State/AU dates due to a another use of the MACC. I asked if we would get two final season games in the JAR for March 2013 and 2014. He said his type of correction was under consideration. Quote
