ZachTheZip
From footballscoop.com: Akron: Look for East Mississippi CC quarterbacks coach A.J. Milwee to be named quarterbacks coach at Akron. Milwee, a two-time Harlon Hill finalist at North Alabama, was a grad assistant at North Alabama for two seasons under Terry Bowden. We presume Jeff Bowden will go as well and we also would think that offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Alan Arrington would go as well; but we have not confirmed this. Should be Jeff Bowden as WR coach, and Tommy Bowden as OC! But really I'm hoping Jeff will come along and have a position on his staff. Really don't think Tommy would have any interest since it would be a big step down, but they did team up well for Auburn in the 90s. Can't really think of many good coaches that would consider coming here.
GP1
Should be Jeff Bowden as WR coach, and Tommy Bowden as OC! No and no. Didn't even know there was a Jeff Bowden. I saw Tommy Bowden's last game in person against Wake on a Thursday night. The offense was terrible. Never won and easy to win ACC Championship. Never even won his division when the ACC went to divisions. Let's not bring in a tired cast because their last name is Bowden. Personally, I think we got the best of the Bowdens. Brighter days ahead. johnnyzip84
Since East Mississippi CC is in the same conference as Mississippi Gulf Coast CC (EMCC beat MGCCC 34-30 in the 2011 opener), Milwee has to be somewhat familiar with LR8. Is making a run at EMCC QB Wallace for 2012 much different than making a run at MGCCC QB Moore for 2011? One thing that might separate Wallace is that he was the national junior college POY in 2011. Oh and his old A-State Rivals bio lists him at 6'4". Since he red-shirted at A-State before going JUCO, you have to wonder if Gus Malzahn might not make a run at him too. I'm still laughing about how Bowden says "Progrum" in his YouTube video. I'll be excited about anyone he brings here who is a D-IA assistant, and/or was associated with him at Auburn. I'm a little leary about anyone he brings from his old D-II school. Although, with his history, I trust that he can evaluate good asst. coaches. K92
I have always gotten a kick out of southern coaches. They have the uncanny ability to really connect with the fan base. Pat Dye, Danny Ford, Terry's daddy Bobby, Steve Spurrier, Bum Phillips (just to name a few off the top of my head) all had that way of presenting themselves in interviews and press conferences that could put a big ol grin on yer faice. I love it and y'all can mock me down as excited to see what Terry can do with the progrum.

ZipRoo
Note to TW: See, when you make the right hire, fans are on-board and willing to give him as much rope as he needs. We have confidence in his abilities. When you make the wrong hire, we have a completely different idea of what do do with the short rope. What a refreshing difference a month makes. GJGood
How about Jason Taylor as an advisor or position coach since he will be available now? He is a good speaker and motivator as well and his name and reputation certainly would do nothing but help recruiting.

mes102
John Pont Bio thanks JZ84, I was going to keep the link up, but thought M(OH) fans were laughing at us like the Can't, Ball State, and others have...When I googled John Pont, I didn't find the result I wanted. So I deleted the original post real quick. Here's what is was, since it's safe to share it now: Pont to Akron?
