2012 verbal: QB Dan Harding

You do know how many great h.s. quarterbacks there are just in this region, right? You realize how many (finite number between 124 and say, 600?) Division 1A (FBS) scholarships are available in the country? I can easily see a potentially great QB, or other player, coming in as a walk-on and earning a scholarship.

This makes perfect sense to me. After all, isn't Akron considered the Harvard of Northeastern Ohio?

25 schollies times 120 or so 1-A teams? Well anyway, I hope you didn't read my post as anything against the kid. I'm excited to get someone that threw for 3700 yards in AAAA and was POY. He's also 6'4" , which surprised me...thought he may have lacked size which would lower interest. And apparently he has Ivy league smarts too. If it's all true, we got a hell of a player.

And, while Chuck "The Chest" is a LV native from Easton, we all know the stories from NC State. And, now, Tressel lands a made up position. (By the way...the only game Pryor lost in high school was to Wilson...LV school where Amato's brother is now AD). Your band should lead the team onto the field with music from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".

Well it's about time. Everyone in Akron spends at least 23 hours per day thinking, dreaming and worrying about how things are going in Lehigh.

Yes, we're all deeply ashamed of having Bowden, Amato and Tressel at the University of Akron. We only hope the rest of the world appreciates the sacrifice we are making here in Akron to keep these unsavory characters tied up and off the market so they don't end up in your hometown and threaten the purity and wholesomeness that exists everywhere they aren't. Please pray for us.

How many QBs does each school offer each season? That was my point... One, maybe two...

Made a call.... you guys get an all everything QB. Bowden out of schollies...kid will "walk on"...academic scholarship.

Sounds like TeBow got some advice from Akron's soccer coach about how to expand the scholarship roster with academic riders. It can never hurt to have Ivy League type StuAth's hanging around your program. Can you say "Kofi Sarkodie"?

Actually just watched this whole tape and he is a complete stud. I am shocked no one picked this guy up. I am shocked we didn't just get him the scholarship and claim him as ours. This guy will be huge. Early on in the highlights he didn't make many long passes but the playoff games he had no problem slinging it down the field. He showed running ability and wow I am completely impressed.
