Dr Z
A ten point loss to Steven F. Austin must really be hurtful? Video: Harsh love • “We’ve had problems with these guys off the court, on the court, classroom, drugs, I mean, being late for stuff, all that stuff correlates together if you’re going to win games.” • “I feel sorry for this school. I mean these kids are stealing money by being on scholarship with their approach to things.” • “The main problem is we don’t have a leader. We have six seniors but not one of them is a leader. We’ve got a bunch of followers.” • “We’ve got a bunch of tin men out there, they have no heart… We can’t play for them, that’s the sad thing.” • “Usually you have one or two guys that are a problem. We have an infestation of guys that are hard to coach.”
ZachTheZip
Tell us how you really feel, Pat. At least he's not hiding behind coachspeak.

skip-zip
Tell us how you really feel, Pat. At least he's not hiding behind coachspeak. ....or flat-out lies and a cover up. Hmm. Remind you of someone? This may be really harsh, but the corrupt elements in college athletics need to be weeded out if we are ever going to have any hope of having the good people who are willing to play by the rules rise to the top. GP1
Wow, an almost nine minute video and the words "building process" were never brought up.

MDZip
Say what you will, but it translated into a blowout win in their next game. Wonder how he feels about them now? Lamar is in the Southland Conference tournament final.
GP1
Article My favorite part......"Well, lots of things "work." You could have kicked a couple guys off scholarship, to make your point. You could have hit them with a taser. Fear is a great motivator, in the short term. The sky's the limit. In the short term. Was the result worth the cost? That was your old man's problem, in the end. He couldn't lobby the refs without throwing a chair across the gym. He couldn't lodge a complaint without screaming obscenities. He couldn't ask for respect without manhandling someone. It worked for a long time, and then it didn't, and then his career petered out in bitterness and semi-obscurity. At which point he handed it off to you." I give Pat Knight four more years in D1 basketball. The best part of him ran down his dad's leg.
