CincyZip
I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but Harney looked miserable on the bench. In all honesty I don't think he is very happy at all being in Akron. I just hope he sticks around! Very talented and could be starting next year. I hate speculators...so here I go During the 'cutting down the net ceremony' Harney had his hood up and seemed to be very unexcited about the moment. He almost looked to be ill. I hope that he is just feeling under-the-weather and not what others are speculating

I think I've seen him crack a smile maybe 2 or 3 times all year. He just tends to look disinterested, like he doesn't really care about anything that is going on. Particularly when he is on defense. I really hope the light turns on soon for this kid, because he has the talent to be an elite player in this league.
natemathwhiz2
I was hoping one of the Abreu to Zekes dunks would make top plays on Sportscenter. Instead Porrini's "block" on Walsh was like #5. Very disappointed. Did it really make the Top 10? hah Where can I get video of that? No Cable = No SportsCenter = No Top

With all that said, I was extremely proud of him when he stepped up to Proinni (sp, Don't Care) after the Walsh rejection. He showed great support for his teammate. P was getting cocky and Harney stepped in and told him to stick it. He got a T for it, and some here won't like it, but I LOVED it. He backed up his teammate and team. Let'sGoZips94
That second half was a thing of glory. We need to find a way to play like that 40 minutes of every game. If we do that, people are going to be hard pressed to find a team that can beat us. The thing I liked the most was the 3 pointers weren't the main priority; 2 point FGs and layups were. Defense was huge as well, creating multiple turnovers, leading to more scoring opportunities. Best part was we capitalized on those opportunities for the most part. That alley-oop to Zeke, in my opinion, killed any comeback Can't State might have had (along with Gilliam's 3). The way Abreu drove, he knew Greene would come over and try to swat that ball all the way to Akron, if not further. With all of the focus on the block, Greene couldn't recover leaving Zeke open for the thunderous slam. The Zips fans were amazing. Loud, into the game, and the Zips gave them reasons to be. The Rowdies tore off over-shirts, exposing an undershirt that read "Can't State Sucks" on the front, with "And so does cancer..." on the back. Absolutely hilarious. Can't State continuously played highlights of last years' game at Can't where the Flushes beat the Zips. Their motto was "Always Remember 2011" or something like that. They are truly pathetic. So glad the Zips won. With the NIT in our back pocket, I think our confidence is up and we are going into the MAC tournament with some nice momentum, along with an entire week to rest and practice. The hoodie is just a style thing. With all due respect, you guys are wayyyy overanalyzing.
lumberjack
The key in the second half was keeping Nitro and Harney on the bench. Harney traveled 3 times in 3 minutes in the first half and Nitro, well... It is sooo much better when KD plays the hot hands rather than being loyal and family oriented and nice. Being nice doesn't win championships! My sentiments exactly...

Lumberjack, I think I spotted you multiple times on tv last night, along with another ZN member (Jets fan).
Dr Z
I forgot to add the top two quotes from ESPN2 commentator Friday night. Dan Dakich? "I think Justin Greene has a bad case of Marshall-itous" "He mops, he steals, he takes the lead" (referring to AA)
