Dr Z Posted March 27, 2012 Report Posted March 27, 2012 I like the "Bowden Ball" logo. Immediately print up 10,000 static stickers for cars with schedule on the peel, and give them away at local places of business. (From the video) Looks like some shoddy play at the QB position... Quote
K92 Posted March 27, 2012 Report Posted March 27, 2012 If you could judge QB's on one play, Nicely, Moore, and Williams, Willians looked the best and worst, the passes I saw were crisp and on target except for the interception at the end of the video. I have a feeling Williams is going to come out as number 1 once they start back up for the summer/fall. The one thing that jumped out at me was that LR8 continues to stare down one receiver. I like the look of Williams' stature. Only a few plays to look at though. Our new WR ZD11 wide open for a catch on the near sideline! Should that make me happy or sad? Quote
johnnyzip84 Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 GT article on Albert Presley Elvis use to enjoy the phrase "takin' care of business in a f-l-a-s-h". Let's hope Albert can be all business in taking care of the f-l-a-s-h-e-s. You have to like the following quote from Coach Amato: He’s got to be disciplined, but he does have the ability. That’s what we’re looking for. Quote
K92 Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 This could be the gold trinket given to players for beating Can't. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted March 28, 2012 Report Posted March 28, 2012 Defense was one of many problems for the Zips, so that’s something the coaches want to hear from those new to the program. I believe "offense" was the other primary problem for the Zips last season. Special teams was next. Quote

I saw the same thing with the QBs. Inaccuracy is a killer and both #7 and #8 looked inaccurate and both threw an int (UofA needs to be smarter about what they put on video for public consumption). When they did complete passes, they were inaccurate. Accuracy is the key to everything a QB does. The margin of error is too small in major college football to be inaccurate. With all that said, I am encouraged that he said the offense moved the ball well. That shouldn't be happening at this point and it is. Proof of how well the spread offense works. Remember guys, it's the MAC....Score lots of points and wait for the other team to poop their pants trying to keep up. Quote

Makes me think of a line from Platoon..."We need every swinging dick in the field." If he can play and can contribute to winning, I don't care where he plays. I trust this coaching staff to make those decisions wisely. Quote
