Zipgrad01
That list of juniors is quite impressive. I am still waiting to wake up from a dream that we have this guy as our coach.
Blue & Gold
Thank you, George. I don't remember anyone ever reporting that information before, so much appreciated! Quite a few QB's.
johnnyzip84
More info from GT on JR day There is also a direct answer to the "dual threat QB" question in there. “We really don’t want a dual-threat quarterback. The reason being our quarterback is in charge of tempo, signal-calling and getting everybody lined up,” coach Terry Bowden said. “If he ran the ball too much, he’d be too tired to run the offense. He’s taught to hand the ball off, look right to me and get the next play started. Running the ball will be the last thing we want him to do.” That, however, doesn’t mean that Bowden is inflexible when it comes to running from a quarterback. Obviously in scrambling situations, it’s necessary and he’s got few qualms with bootlegs. There is another instance as well. “If I had [a dual-threat quarterback] that was my guy, we’d run a little bit different offense,” he said. Right now, there is no such guy with a chance to start. Blue & Gold
I'm surprised there is only one kid from Stark County attending. Ja'Bron Mcguire from GlenOak. No Massillon or McKinley. Hmm.
Hilltopper
I'm surprised there is only one kid from Stark County attending. Ja'Bron Mcguire from GlenOak. No Massillon or McKinley. Hmm. Things have been in turmoil at McKinley this offseason. They fired the coach and there was a big fight in the community about his replacement. They just hired the new coach, so I'm sure coach Bowden will make his presence known soon enough.
