Attendance for Sunday games are traditionally low. Sunday night is a recovery and school night for most. Attendance average for the year is 3,345. Next home game is on Saturday, September 29, against Buffalo. Bison burgers for the tailgate!!! http://akronsportsnow.com/soccer-thrives-u...y-night-lights/ Quote

I know what you mean. We used to be able capable of drawing those two numbers, combined, in just one game against a ranked team. The luster of the national championship and post national championship is gone. And for right now, so are the bandwagoners who heard that we were at or near the #1 ranked team in the country. Hopefully we can get that back. As I've pointed out many times, huge numbers of people aren't going to naturally gravitate to soccer without a huge amount of success. Football's home opener outdrew soccer's home opener by about a 4 to 1 margin, and they are on opposite sides of the spectrum in terms of success. Quote

It didn't make me want to attend Sunday's game. A 5-0 blowout of St Johns would have made me interested in Sunday night. The Zips need to start filling up the net. Quote
bobbyake Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 we have only exceeded 3,000 once on a Sunday and it was during the NCAA Tournament in 2010 Quote

Come on... to be fair, the 2012 attendance is down compared to the past 2 years and worth noting. Here's my quick report on it: http://akronsportsnow.com/worst-attendance...energy-stadium/ The Zips looked great on Sunday, let's hope the goals keep coming. Quote
jem101 Posted September 17, 2012 Report Posted September 17, 2012 Serna up top should have happened a long time ago! Quinn back in was huge too. His goal was a thing of beauty! Quote

schiri Posted September 18, 2012 Report Posted September 18, 2012 That was brilliant on many different levels-- awareness, touch, speed of thought, vision and the most important --confidence. Without confidence that piece of brilliance never happens IMO. Quote
