Update on Patrick Nicely

Looks like he has continued to struggle at the Division II level, as he is now 0-4 as a starter at Lake Erie College.

His stats thus far:

GANNON- 14-30, 166 yds, 1 TD, 1 INT

FERRIS ST.- 12-25, 159 yds, 2 TD, 1 INT

WAYNE ST.- 7-16, 77 yds, 1 TD

SAGINAW VALLEY ST.- 17-33, 249 yds, 2 TD, 2 INT

With a 4-0 and 13th ranked Ashland squad up next for him, things don't look to get any easier for Mr. Nicely anytime soon. Good luck to him as he finishes out his career.

Dalton Williams dwarfs anything we've seen at QB since Getsy. Jacquemain had some nice games here and there, but Williams is The Man.

PN7 sacked 16 times thus far. Ouch.

BTW - Hope McDonald alum Matt Krumpak supplants Nicely soon. :D

Just goes to show you that coaches actually know more than us fans... I remember a lot of comments early in the year, "He didn't even start at an FCS school..." blah blah blah.... Coaching, system, and CIRCUMSTANCES are so incredibly critical to the success of any college football player. There are so many talented players coming out of high school -- but their development and success, for the most part, is dependent upon where they end up, who they play for, if that coach is there for their whole career, etc. etc....

Just so happy for Dalton -- he's got a chance to have a really special season. I am really really optimistic about what our offense will be able to do now that we're into our MAC season...
