Better yet, post link to BS forum yourself. :D

We are getting taller overall. Well, excepting the head coach.

Michael Beaven's writeup for the ABJ.

“For me it doesn’t feel a whole lot different because I was so involved as an assistant,” Embick said Monday. “I was as excited then as an assistant as I am now as the head coach. This is a good group of players. We will probably have another one or two additions that have not been finalized.”

I am looking forward to see the new players. Does anyone know much about Louis Cross? The writeup on him is fairly vague. You can never have enough good defenders. If Jared Embick can add 1 or 2 more contributors, I think he has done well.

Prior to Akron: Developed in Blackpool FC Academy since he was eight years old … Blackpool FC youth team captain … captained his country on a tour in Scandinavia and was named England’s U-16 Independent Soccer Player of the Year … also named League Football Education’s Apprentice of the Month for February of 2013.

You mean: If Jared Embick gets another contributor or two from this group of ten? Yes, he will have done well.

Louis Cross is the least known (to me) of the listed recruits.

I was actually referring to his quote in the Beacon where he said he could add 1 or 2 more to this group of 10. I am hopeful that it is another good foreign player or a transfer that can step in and play.

From what I was finding online a couple days ago, it looks like he would have been going pro if it wasn't for injuries. Sorry. don't have the links in front of me. I'm excited to see what he can do!

It is curious how TDS has both Cross and Seremba rated as three star recruits. Dollars to donuts no one at TDS has ever seen either of them play.

It's like any college sport recruiting service. They base their rating largely on who's recruiting them. That's all the've got to go on.

I suppose you are mostly right, but, at some point, it would be nice for a journalist to give a first-hand account.

Just saw this tweet from a few days ago:

Michael Sweeting @M_Sweeting

Released Liverpool midfielder/defender Nathan Quirk has been offered a full scholarship at the University of Akron in the USA.

Edit: according to his page on the Liverpool wiki (I know, teachers would not approve of citing this for all things Liverpool) he can play several positions, prefers to play as a second striker, but was used as the first choice right back for this season.

I haven't seen a commitment, just the unofficial word that he's been offered, but if he's good, that wold certainly boost our team even more.
