MontrealExposloveZippy
We obviously have a pretty good history with Michigan, but this match-up could be a little intimidating given how well they played us this year (especially the saves by their goalkeeper). What are your guys thoughts? Our final four match-up with them a couple years ago was definitely a game to remember:) I know they have to beat Niagara, but just thought we'd start the speculation-
GoZips88
Victim #1 - Michigan or Niagara.
okayokay
Niagara was 13-1-4 but played in a very poor league. We all know about Michigan. This years game was typical as we controlled game but they also played a man down for almost half the game. We need to score a couple of first half goals and will be fine. anonymous hippo
I hope we get Michigan again, that first match was nuts, their goalie kept it close. From the spectators point of view, Akron dominated. Also, we all know that we were ARE the B1G TEN CHAMPS! So it would be nice to rub that in a little more. Bring on Michigan... Sunday @ 4:30 can't come soon enough!
GoZips
Niagara head coach Chase Brooks said. “It’s a great moment for Niagara men’s soccer. Michigan is a very good side and the team is coached very well. It’s going to be a very tough opponent and we’re just excited to play them." The kiss of death. plowerman78
when he says excited he means sitting 10 behind the ball and trying to play counter attacks all game lol
TheTank123
I'm sure the Head Aviator would be able to chime in on this as well, but this team is going to be so F ing fired up for this tournament it's going to be amazing to watch. plowerman78
talk to a few of them yesterday its being used as motivation thats for sure, but they also realize that theres nothing they can do about it except for win. Feel alot better about our teams mind set compared to the 08 screw job when we played the victim card and felt sorry for ourselves. BTW French is in P.R. with the mens bball team so ill be on the call on Sunday
Ando
when he says excited he means sitting 10 behind the ball and trying to play counter attacks all game lol considering how michigan play, though, I'm thinking some horror game seems likely where nine outfield players stay in their own box, with each team's lone striker jogging up to and around a completely immobile ball in midfeild, their eyes darting from the ball to each other, in a perpetual game of "will he? won't he? will I?", each team absolutely terrified of possession or build-up play
tpsjugglerdude
I would rather not play MI again. Remember the last time we played them twice in the same year? We dominated the first game (6-0 I think) then when it came tourney time, they somehow learned to play and made it a nerve racking game with several close calls. Plus they did beat us last year so I think they have learned how to game plan for us. Regardless though, I see a 2-1 victory.
fknbuflobo
I prefer to play who I already know, with no surprises. We are better than they are.

Different coach for them now, and I like to look at our team as the team that OTHERS don't want to play twice in one year. We aren't the one's who get flaws exposed, we expose flaws. I hope we play Michigan again, it could be a blood bath.
