The Hip Zip Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 How about hanging a big L on the Bobkittens this weekend. I'll send flowers if you can rise to the occasion. Quote
Quickzips Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 I don't care who they are playing, I can't root for Can't under any circumstances. I'll settle for a tie in 6 overtimes. Quote
The Hip Zip Posted January 26, 2013 Author Report Posted January 26, 2013 messed up the title as I have had a drink or 4 tonight Quote
Dave in Green Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 Honestly, I'd just as soon have the Bobkitties unbeaten in MAC play and on a big winning streak when they come to the JAR. That would increase the intensity of the national spotlight on the game, and a win over a highly rated OU would have more value to the Zips' national standing than beating a wounded OU. The best scenario for the Zips would be for OU to finish the MAC regular season at 14-2 with both losses being to the Zips. Quote

That's a valid point and the only defense for those who won't root for Can't to take 'em down a notch. I really don't think they have the talent to beat OU as the Flashes are very soft inside. I hope I'm wrong. Quote
akronzips71 Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 I go with the Flashes to give us undisputed first place in the MAC. Quote
skip-zip Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 I can't ever root for a Ken+ win, but I can root for an OU loss Quote
Dr Z Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 Ken+ stinks this year. I'm surprised OU is only favored by 3. Could offer a peek into how good OU really is. Quote
zen Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 I'll just root against both, and whichever one loses, I'll take it. LOOL Quote

GP1 Posted January 26, 2013 Report Posted January 26, 2013 Screw Can't. I hope they lose every game. I rooted against them in the bowl game they played in. I don't see any reason to root for them. Quote

akzipper Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 I was honestly rooting for Can't State, which I can say never happens. Next Saturday is still a must win game. I just hope we don't look past BG. Quote

akzipper Posted January 27, 2013 Report Posted January 27, 2013 when's the last time Can't lost 3 in a row in mac play. It's almost like they sold their bb soul for fb If I had my choice I would choose to be successful at football rather than basketball. I'm sure Can't and NIU fans feel about the same right now. To me it seems easier for a team to be ranked and make a BCS game, than make a run to the Final Four. We'd never make it to either, but for most mid-major's that would be the goal. Quote
