Captain Kangaroo
Have at it. Please don't mention Wistercill or Ohio State. Keep it on-topic.
MDZip
Does anyone know if Tom Wistrcill came from Ohio State right before this job?
Dave in Green
Avoiding the unmentionables here, there's another good reason besides keeping the winning streak going to beat North Dakota State. On Jan. 31, the Bison embarrassed a close relative of the Zips, the Missouri-Kansas City Kangaroos (aka UMKC Roos), 71-34. That's right. The Bison herd mercilessly trampled a mob of poor, innocent Roos. Zippy and all Zips fans need to bring some extra spirit to this game to help avenge this shocking cruelty against fellow marsupials. I'm going to do my part by finding a local restaurant that serves bison burgers on game day.
bUAkronG
Don't look now, but NDSU just slipped up against conference foe, Oakland(whom OU beat earlier this season 78-61) on the road, 66-63. NDSU was favored by 4 points.

Actually, this isn't a bad thought. What's more important: 1. Keeping a national winning streak alive that keeps you in the news for a few weeks? or 2. Beating a high level mid major that puts you in the news for five minutes? I'd rather go for a win against someone other than the Dollar General crew, but there is a valid argument for keeping the streak alive. I have a better one. I want to keep winning because it sucks to lose, especially to the teams we have on our schedule.
Big Zip
How soon until Keith tells us this game isn't a big deal and doesn't really matter if we win because we need to win the MAC tournament? As for the UMKC Roos we should really add them to the schedule to start the season every year. Kangaroo versus Kangaroo.

MDZip
Now that NDSU stubbed their toe, it really is a shame we couldn't have gone on the road to test ourselves against Indiana State - they have some huge wins, Mississippi, Miami (FL), Creigton, Witchia St. If they don't stumble badly, I think they're in and it would have been a good win for us. They aren't unbeatable either, so it would have been a fair test. Not that NDSU is a horrible matchup, but a win against them (and a fine rest of the season) wouldn't have gotten the Zips an at-large. A win against Indiana State (or Belmont) might have. Hey, lets go ask if Ohio might be willing to switch with us for the good of the league.
ZachTheZip
There are quite a few Akron-related polls on ESPN regarding the Bracketbuster. On the left, just click on the bracketbusters category.
Dave in Green
After NDSU's loss, they fell to #46 on Pomeroy, exactly 1 position ahead of the #47 Zips.
