BirdZip Posted February 22, 2013 Report Posted February 22, 2013 I'll admit he hasn't been able to recreate the magic of his "miracle versus Pine-Bluff", where his shooting percentage from 2PT, 3PT and the free throw line were all 100%. But his overall 3PT shooting stats , in limited time of course, is still a loftly 50%. Now I'm not necessarily advocating that he grab more time. His defense and rebounding are highly suspect. BUT, if you need to simply hit one 3 pointer I'm not sure he wouldn't be in my top 3 or 4 choices from the Zips' current roster. Didn't Nick Goddard find himself on the floor during the last 0.x seconds of the Miami MACC debacle? Desperate times call for desperate measures. Quote

That assumes the defense doesn't try to take away the most likely 3 point threats. One of the potential advantages of having Jonas out there in this type of situation, along with the other 3 point threats (Reggie, Chauncey, Jake, Alex), is that the opponent is likely to not consider him as much of a threat. It was just a wild thought, so no need to take it too seriously. Hopefully you're correct that this is purely hypothetical. Something tells me the game will be more of a nailbiter. It seems like NDSU has adjusted a little bit better lately to not having Braun. We'll find out soon enough. Quote

After somebody fouled out, KD put him in there in a very competitive game and he scored a couple of 3s. The crowd went wild. Can't remember the players name. Quote
