For basketball, The Convo is too big. 9,000 would have been perfect. For graduation, it's about the right size. But yeah, it's a big place. Even 10,000 looks more empty than it should.

LOL...I can't say I disagree. But he knew what he was doing with that tweet.

You know what though, it is possible he was expressing the same frustration many of us felt since Ohio beating Belmont would have helped the Zips at-large case. One thing I did learn from the Twitter "feud" was that Reggie Keeley holds the JAR rebound record of 20. My bold prediction - Tree erases that record before his career is over. One reason I don't like Twitter - I went to see what Brian's actual tweet was and saw him say to Pat Forsythe "when you gonna be back?". Thought that meant Pat was injured, turns out he was only referring to being in a night class. No more Twitter for me.

Perhaps you're right. He also apparently underestimated how closely OU fans have been following/trolling Akron twitter accounts. That tweet was brought to DJ Coopers attention within a matter of hours.

This should be a great game with an atmosphere as electric as the JAR, but much bigger. For those of you Akron fans on the fence about going, go. You'll enjoy a college game at the Convo.

While I have expressed my disdain for Akron on multiple occasions, I really do hope that those of you who come down tomorrow enjoy the game. I met some of your students who made the trip down last year, and they were all class acts. I've always thought it was far more fun bantering with another student section anyways. Will you be having a traveling student section for this year?

Good post. As a bonus, it only took 6 replies for someone to mention that OU is the "class" of the MAC.

After everything that has happened over the past week, "class" is the last word that comes to mind when I think about this rivalry.

I advise all of our fans attending the game to take their own water and to get in and out as quickly as you can. The Convo may start approaching third world status and we want to avoid another Carnival Cruise Line or Superdome type situation. Team - get the Win and get out as quickly as possible as well.

Sadly, boil orders are not uncommon. Antiquated sewer system + no money to replace it = bad times. I love Athens with all my heart, but I don't miss that.

I will never say this is a good thing. Remember the three he took 5-8 feet behind the line and on the move with the shot clock expiring after great defense by the Zips in the waning minutes of the MACC last year? That was the difference in the game. Sickening. For me, it was like Doug Penno The Sequel.

I know he is tough, but maybe the law of averages will play out. You can only make so many 3's...riight?
