Tree gettin ready!!

Anybody that thinks Akron will win tonight can triple their money. Ten cent bet returns thirty cents.

It would be the first time in the KD era that Akron would upset a team favored by this much.

Referencing stat about VCUs record over and under opponents 15 turnovers; Of course turnovers will have a huge impact on your win loss record! I would imagine that you can find a similar stat for all decent teams. They say the same thing in football. If you turn the ball over, you will lose! Of course, basketball has a lot more possessions than football, so turnovers may not seem as critical, but the impact of turnovers is usually even higher in basketball because a turnover in basketball usually results in an easier score with no set defense. A turnover is usually an immediate swing of at least 4 points.

@zen, VCU relies on creating turnovers more than any other team in the country, so they're more vulnerable to losing than just about any other team when they don't create lots of turnovers. Other teams rely more on other areas such as rebounding or 3-point shooting. The Zips, for example, rely more on blocked and altered shots than most teams. The Zips averaged about 13.5 turnovers per game this season. You'd think if they had 25 turnovers in a game that they'd be in trouble. But they had 25 turnovers against UAPB and still won by 30 points. So I do believe the comparison of VCU's win-loss record with over and under 15 forced turnovers is significant in a way that it would not be for other teams.

That would be an interesting stat... altered shots, we would definitely have to be up there.

This game is on CBS in prime time.

Have we ever had a prime time game on broadcast TV?

This might be a first.

The whole world is watching.

OCCUPY MOTOWN, BABY!!!

We absolutely MUST stay out of foul trouble and take care of the ball. Do this we should be every bit as good as VCU in the half court game and better on the boards.

They just said on the Michigan game that Ibatayo has the flu and the 2 other players may not play, but they didn't say who.

LOL...with the way this season has been going, nothing surprises me.

Walsh and Forsythe have the flu along with Deji with back problems.

Walsh would easily be the biggest loss of the 3.

How much adversity does this team have to go through in one season?

Honestly though, how much would Ibatayo and Forsythe actually play in this game? Ibatayo none at all and Forsythe maybe a few minutes?

IF Zeke gets into foul trouble we are done without Pat.

Strange that two guys get it at the same exact time. Sounds more like food poisoning. But I guess the doctors know.

Forsythe is important IF Zeke gets in foul trouble. Other than that, maybe 5 minutes.

Deji I wasn't expecting to play anyways, but if Walsh is out to his loss hurts a little more.

Like I said in the earlier post, Walsh is easily the toughest of the three to lose. He's been in a bit of a slump lately, but our backcourt is already a little thin already, and he's a veteran that we rely on.
