What do Ohio State, Alabama, and Akron all have in common?

They all "missed out" on Trevahn Beery.

In fact, none of these schools were listed as a school of interest for the 150 pound defensive back (really a shame because of a natural tie-in for us; when he turns sideways and sticks his tongue out he looks like a zipper).

His only offer other than Western was Buffalo.

I just searched the Beery kid on the internet. Outside of having 3 interceptions in the 2011 State Championship game he doesn't appear to have ever done much of anything. It kind of looks like that was a fluke. He also looks really skinny. Western can have him

And in what appears to be a very slow month...we now have a leader for the coveted "Post of the Month" award.

Get the case of Rice-a-Roni ready for shipment, Don Pardo.

I noticed that Wolf didnt get any PT on Saturday either. They must be planning on red shirting him also. He and Berger stood beside each other on the sideline Saturday for most of the game. I sat beside a guy who's kids go to the same school that he played for. The guy seemed to know a lot about him. The rumor at Norwayne is that Berger might be heading to another MAC school to play football next year. Supposedly there are a couple schools interested in giving him a scholarship. If he's not on scholarship at Akron can he transfer and play next year for another MAC school?

No. Once you enroll, your eligibility clock begins ticking. 5 years to play 4.

Where would he go to get a better opportunity to play in a pass-happy offense than Akron?

If he's any good, he'll get an Akron scholarship next season. If he isn't any good, I doubt he would get a scholarship offer from any other MAC program. It would be time to transfer to YSU or Walsh.
