LZIp Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 I hope these guys really have some exceptional speed and can play, because they are really small. Quote

Since when is a 5' 11" corner "small"? Or 6', if you elect to buy into the article's bio. Either way, that is a big corner by any college standard. Quote

It'd be nice if he was around 175-180. Quote
K92 Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Everyone knows undersized cornerbacks never amount to anything. Quote
Zipmeister Posted June 25, 2013 Report Posted June 25, 2013 Article from when we offered him a scholarship Sounds like his June camps didn't work out as hoped. Quote

If anyone thinks a 16 year old athlete that is 5' 11", 165lbs is a small HS cornerback, they don't know football. Great "get" by Bowden. Quote

I agree great job Bowden and staff, keep the Florida athletes coming.....Akron is about 3 years away from winning the MAC.....GO ZIPS Quote

LZIp Posted June 28, 2013 Report Posted June 28, 2013 Great "get" by Bowden. Please elaborate on what appears to be "great" about this "get"? Is it his impressive offer list or nice star rating? Quote
ZachTheZip Posted June 28, 2013 Author Report Posted June 28, 2013 Please elaborate on what appears to be "great" about this "get"? Is it his impressive offer list or nice star rating? If those mattered, then at least half the players in the NFL would never have made it there. Quote
LZIp Posted June 29, 2013 Report Posted June 29, 2013 If those mattered, then at least half the players in the NFL would never have made it there. Just wondering his reasoning to think this is a "great get". Stars dont matter, but there arent very many non rated players who make it to the pros. Just dont see why people are getting their panties in a bunch over my opinion. I was a 5'10" 160 lb DB in D6 football and I was small, but I know nothing about football, apparently. But I digress. I trust Bowden and Go Zips! Quote
ZachTheZip Posted December 5, 2013 Author Report Posted December 5, 2013 Heard that he will be making an official visit to campus next week. He's been getting interest from some BCS schools and his commitment to Akron is reportedly "soft", so hopefully things go well. Quote
Captain Kangaroo Posted December 5, 2013 Report Posted December 5, 2013 I am confident T-Buck will seal the deal. Quote

Maybe Lzip will consider this an "ok" get now that some BCS schools want him. Some kids mature physically quite a bit from 16-17 and he may be one of them. Quote

Zipgrad01 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 Potential good news here...from a Syracuse forum. Anthony Chiang @Anthony_Chiang 6m Boynton Beach CB Kyron Brown, who was down to Syracuse & Akron, said Cuse may be out of race. He has not been able to reach #Cuse coaches. Well that answers that. Zipgrad01 Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 However, I see T-Buck is at it again... Anthony Chiang@Anthony_ChiangJan 20 Louisville is expected to visit with 2014 Boynton Beach CB Kyron Brown and ATH Darrian Josey, a Hawaii commit, this week. #Louisville Quote

It sounds like a UMass coach will be back to visit today. Maybe he is just taking advantage of the free trips?? I couldnt imagine him picking UMass over us. Quote
