It's Oklahoma State and our old pal, Les Miles.

The more I hear about this one, the worse it gets. Ohhh, this one is gingto take several issues of SI to tell it all. :tomato:

And the more I don't want Akron to try to be big and act like these hooligans.

I'd gladly trade in a few years of shame for being relevant in the world of college football. The past 3 seasons, and our overall history is shame anyways.

This story is outside of the limits for the ncaa to investigate.

In fact, this isn't even a story. What is the news that is so relevant to 2013? What is revealed in this story that people don't already know. Players getting money?...Goes on at almost every big program. Over zealous booster?....Stand outside of the Michigan locker room Saturday and look at the number of middle aged jock sniffers standing around to get a glimpse of their favorite 19 year old. Players using the money to buy clothes, etc.?....Yes, that's what people do with money.

I've heard a couple of real investigative reporters talk about this story on the radio yesterday and absolutely slam the writers for their poor reporting on this "story". Investigative reporting is not standing outside of a Bible study waiting for someone to come out so you can ask him a question and you don't take note the entire time...that's the nonsense that goes on in the 6:00 news in a ratings grab. Serious investigative journalists contact people and let them know what they are investigating so the person is prepared to answer. The job of the reporter then is to poke holes, if possible, at the answers or tie those answers to things he has already learned. It won't be long until the real investigation becomes about the poor reporting of the "story".

This story is about one thing and one thing only. SI trying to generate clicks on their website. This is what the 6:00 news does with the clowns who go around and ask people questions trying about something that is barely news to get ratings.

SI has been successful in doing what it wanted to do...generate hits for its website.

Is this a serious post?

I hope you aren't serious. Because if you are, you are a huge hypocrite.

By the way, I actually agree with you. I think it goes on at all big schools. Some more than others, but all none the less..

If serious, it seems to fit the current narrative...

Ohio State is looking the other way? Burn the school to the ground! Hang Tressel from the highest point in the land!!

Everyone else is doing the same thing? These players come from poor families... why aren't we paying them?!

Sure, I'd risk some violations for a major jump in notoriety for the Zips. However, I do respect that we do things the right way, pretty much. I like to think that we serve as a pretty good example of a program that wins, while dispelling the "everyone bends the rules" theory.

But, I wouldn't trade a few years of shame, such as being a disgrace to college athletics like OSWho.

We are winning program? News to me.

And on your last point, I agree. I don't want to be like okie state.

Your obsession is a disease and you should see someone about it.

You are a disgrace to Zip fans.

Yep. LOL. One is paying players to play, just like much of the SEC, Oregon, Miami, etc.

The other gets busted for players selling their OWN things, and they have to cover it because of an FBI investigation on the buyer, but then they turn themselves in. They get schollie limits, bowl ban, players suspended and the coach fired.

The ones that put the FBI over the NCAA and turn themselves in are the disgrace. The others that covered up and fought everything are heroes.

Manziel gets a 1/2 game suspension. Oregon nothing. Miami slap on the wrist. Cam Newton anyone?

Some people are so filled with hate, jealousy, or whatever you want to call it that they make themselves look like fools.

I know someone will now quote some dumb SI or ESPN article that was never proven or they will talk about the former QB that admitted he made stuff up because he was mad.

You can't make this crap up. LOL

Evans was also involved in the ohio state story.
Doug Archie wrote the story first, no need for Evans.

If there is some hard proof of Oklahoma State doing something wrong, and the staff knows about it,

and does nothing, then they should go down the same. Precedent has been set.

I'm talking about having winning sports programs, and doing it without cheating. Do you recall Akron winning the Excellence in Management Award, or being 6th in the Capital One Cup standings a few years ago?

Question: If you are not proud of what the Zips accomplish, and defend OSWho at every opportunity. Is there a reason why you are on this board?

First off, I don't think anyone would pay any of our FB players to play. :)

Secondly, how in the hell do you know if there is cheating anywhere else? Nobody looks at the mid majors. They look at the Majors.

If you really believe only the big schools cheat, you are more ignorant than I already thought you were.

I'm very proud pf my Zips. If I weren't I wouldn't be here. Too bad people like you make all UA fans look bad. I know you don't realize it and that is part of why I pity you. You are as clueless in your life as you are sports.

I'm still begging any of you to show where I have ever started an OSU thread. EVER. Nobody can do that.

Skippy, I ignore 90% of your chldish posts. Every once in a while I feel the urge to respond to your ignorance.

I'm sorry that you were rejected or got beaten up by a 3 year old girl in OSU gear when you were 7.(Last year if your posts are indicative of your age} . I wish I was there to stop it. Sorry I wasn't.

Everything will be ok. Like I said, please seek counseling. All of this anger, jealousy and hate is not good for you.

OSwho. ROFLMAO. That is so clever. LOL

Peace out.

You are as clueless in your life as you are sports.

First, you do know that the Cowlumbus Dispatch dug up the NCAA violations records, and in a 10 years period OSWho had almost TWICE as many violation as the NEXT CLOSEST SCHOOL? Right? So, spare me the standard OSWho excuse that "everyone cheats".

Secondly, how did you know that I am so clueless in my life?

The language in your posts tells me everything I need to know.

Do you know that OSU reported all of those themselves? Very few other schools do that. Everyone else fights the NCAA.

You think they are dirtier than Bama, USC, Auburn, Ole MIss, Miami, Oregon, because they volunteered these things. Where as these other schools cover up and fight the NCAA.

I am sure you do know that they self reported because your obsession runs deep and you know everything that goes on down there.

I guess in your world admitting errors, violations, etc is worse than covering it up.

What's even more awesome is you are defending, and bragging about the program that hired the guy that was at the head of the FB program that commited all of these violations. LOL. OOPS. One school fired this guy and another hired him. You are bashing the school that fired him and are bragging about the one that hired him.

Actually I do know the awards UA has won. I donate money to UA every year and receive the Alum mag often. I also follow UA athletics, probably more than you do. Just because I don't bash another school doesn't mean I don't.

Winning awards doesn't mean there is no cheating. You are just very naive and don't understand the nature of college athletics.

it's apparent from your posts on here that you are a clueless individual.

Wow, you really got me with that line about the nature of my posts. Ouch, that one stung.

Cowlumbus. ROFLMAO. you are so darn clever. I am going to laugh at that one the rest of today.

OSwho and Cowlumbus all in one day. You are a comic magician.

Please, please shoot me some more of those 3rd grade level insults. I love them.

I am trying to be nice and advise you to get professional help. All of that hate will eat you up.

I'll be sure to check myself into counseling asap.

In the meantime, I will make sure that all of these are on the list of standard OSWho excuses I have already heard from your fellow fans. But if there is anything new, I will add it to the list.

And for the record, I disagree with the hiring of JT. And I have many posts which indicate that.

By the way, do you know that there are numerous internet boards for OSWho supporters? They all believe you that there must be some other explanation for all of these NCAA violations over there.

Skippy, I ignore 90% of your childish posts. Every once in a while I feel the urge to respond to your ignorance.

Don't you hate when you get sucked in though? There's just something about the internet that makes you think, "I can reason with this guy". But it's not true. There is no reasoning with someone like this.

You hit it on the head in an earlier post - it's an obsession. Many in Ohio that aren't OSU fans are simply obsessed with the Buckeyes. I'm sure the same thing happens in other states. I'd imagine there were tons of Pitt fans that just loved the Penn State sanctions for example.

And for everyone up on Mt. Pious, this wasn't hard to find:

A History Of MAC School NCAA Violations
