Rumors of the end of Reggie's season appear to be greatly exaggerated. GT reports that Reggie practiced with the team today, as did Jake. Neither participated in scrimmages. But that's still better than the rumor that Reggie's season was over due to not bouncing back from mono. Apparently Reggie's mono was not the most severe, and neither was Jake's concussion.

UA’s Wings Take Step Toward Returning

Sure sounds like good news. Interestingly, Frenchy (interviewed by Zips Win!'s hero Joe Dunn on 1350 am's Big Time Sports) opined that Kretzer might be ready for tomorrow, but that McAdams' return was still a way off. I guess the MRI will be crucial.

That sounds more like it.

I doubt that either Jake or Reggie will play against UB Tuesday.

KD confirmed on today's Big Time Sports show that Jake is definitely out for the Bulls (still hopes for him on Friday), but he also said Reggie was having another MRI tomorrow and if his spleen is not enlarged he will probably play some tomorrow night.

Neither one of them participated in the contact drills today.

KD mentioned this as well. Reggie couldn't because he's not cleared for contact. If he gets a clean MRI tomorrow, KD seemed to indicate he would play.

It would be great if we could get 10 minutes from him.

My understanding is that Jake has been at practices but not taking part in any activities that could include contact, such as scrimmaging. That's consistent with someone who still has symptoms of a concussion. There's no harm in practicing things like shooting. But you don't want to take any risk of another blow to the head while still experiencing symptoms. The only way he plays at the Q is if all the symptoms have cleared up and a physician signs off on his recovery, which from a mild concussion generally takes "several weeks to several months." Thursday's game comes 3 weeks and 1 day after he suffered the concussion in Buffalo.
