2nd leading WR and only two TDs? That isn't very good.

With your opinion of Bickley, what does that say about the other WRs on our roster? Do you not think they are D1 material? If they are, and Bickley isn't, why is he producing more than them? Its not like Bickley is a Tyler Williams who has been around for a long time and never produced. I'm not arguing that Bickley's stats are/were good, but its better than most other players at the position. Have to take what we can get.

I won't single out a player, but I will say this about the offense. It is the one side of the ball most in need of a recruiting boost in the off season. I think the talent level and depth needs to be improved upon.

It's not even debatable that the Zips need more help on offense than defense. Nationally the Zips are a top 25 team in scoring defense and a bottom 25 team in scoring offense. If the offensive performance level was as high as the current defensive performance level, the Zips would be performing like a top 25 team. The good news is that the outstanding performance of the defense is likely to help attract more offensive talent to UA to play for a winning program.

I watched a replay of the Pitt game last night & Isaiah Williams got beat pretty badly in that game for a big shot on Pohl. It happens to everyone; it's football. But my question is, Tommy Brown, probably being our best OL, why isn't he playing on Pohl's blindside? Isaiah Williams is a converted DL & hasn't held a starting job till this season, but he's playing Left Tackle - isn't that considered the most important position on the OL?

According to an inspirational movie starring the great Kathy Lee Gifford, you would be correct.

If the quarterback is left-handed, you could argue it's the right tackle.

Some people might also argue that getting the ball to the QB is fairly important and, therefore, believe the center is the most important position.

and on and on and on

The center position could arguably be one of the top 2 if not most important on the field (in my opinion) .............. reading defenses and calling out blitz protection and blocking assignments along with clean snaps (especially in a read option/shotgun offense) is pretty important. .................... Agreed fully Meister

The LT (or RT with a lefty) is more of an athletic and protection position (although definitely in the top 3 most important) ...... Again, my opinion

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents because I see this mentioned often with centers. I played LT in hs and college and often called the blocking schemes for the LG and blocking back if he was involved. Can any other linemen out there confirm if this was the exception to the rule? I played in a power I and a spread offense so it wasn't just the scheme.

I'm sure it is not an exception at all .............. I'm sure there are a number of different variations and ways that O-Lines communicate. Guess I shouldn't generalize, but I believe that by in large, you will see the center being the "orchastrator" of the assignments and blitz protections.
