Hilltopper
Nyles was at practice today and is looking forward to playing at Buffalo Tuesday. The coaches have handled the situation and everything is good now. Nyles is a fierce competitor and knows the team really needs him now that Noah is done. I look for him to play well Tuesday. jupitertoo
Both the men's and women's Akron and Can't games have been covered the last two weekends by ABJ "staff reports." And why did GT write a feature article on the Browns logo yesterday? Not sure what the deal is over there anymore. Do the beat reporters get weekends off?GT has the flu. BJ doesn't have anyone in reserve, I guess.
Hilltopper
Robotham's bickering with the trainer had to do with the trainer telling him he shouldn't go back into the game after he was hurt. Noah may have taken it a little too far, but that's a result of his competitiveness. Looks like the trainer was correct at this point. That's not what happened. Everything is good and we need to just not try to analyze every little thing that happens in the heat of the moment.
ZIPSMOM2
This is why I have introduced legislation that all mothers should be banned from attending their children's sporting events. They just muck it all up for everybody. Good stuff Clark, you have been a fine addition to this board. Before I set somebody off, yes, that was tongue in cheek..........As a mother myself I find the comment you made not fair...because not all mothers are the same. I welcome the criticism either good or bad about my son. I know for a fact he likes to hear the criticism regarding his game. He actually uses the information to better his game. As his parents we keep it real with him. He has the ability to be a really special player in the future. Kwan knows he still has so much to learn and grow...So, thank you for any good or bad comments you made have, because as parents/player we welcome that feedback. Dave in Green
ZIPSMOM2, I hope you saw that The Hip Zip's comment was tongue in cheek. He was just kidding. I know he understands that parents are fans just like the rest of us except they happen to be a lot closer to one player. Fans can get pretty emotional about sports, as can be seen on this forum every time the Zips lose, so how could we expect parents not to? The attitude you expressed about learning from criticism is really positive. But the parents who may occasionally get a little emotional about the game are just being human. It usually passes quickly, as I understand it already has in this case. Meeting the parents of the Zips players has been as enjoyable for me as meeting the players. You're all wonderful people.
