St. Louis Billikens

Friday night 7PM EST. I cannot make this game, unfortunately, but my and CK's friend Eugene, Oregon intends to be on hand! Not sure where he will get a tik, but he's on his way to watch the Rainbow Warriors pull the upset over the Suckeyes on Saturday! Ha ha.

Per SLU the UA is live streaming for F-R-E-E. http://www.slubillikens.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=27200&ATCLID=210329808 Hope that is true! Go Zips!!!!

I was there, but entered the place after the two STL goals. It seemed like we dominated the entire rest of the game.

Does anyone know what the heck happened in those first 10 minutes? Seems impossible that they scored 2 goals early. We shut them down from mounting any kind of offense at all for the remainder of the game, and had tons of opportunities and near-misses ourselves.

Shades of Old Dominion? Beat us over the top? I didn't see either, thanks to the (non) video. :)

Very gutsy, impressive win for the zips. This team has tremendous character coming back from 2 goals down against the #15 team in country. Adam's free kick was a thing of beauty. Victor made a great run and a super pass to set up the first goal. Students were loud and proud. Miserable weather in the 2nd half but this was a memorable, special win, Brad and Andrew really stepped up.

First goal was from an odd angle. I don't think Akron was ready and seemed a little off at the beginning. The goal was within 2 minutes from the opening kick. It was a run down the left side to the touch line and then towards the goal and he angled it over the keeper. Like I said tough angle, not sure how he scored, since he was practically on the touch line. The second goal was a bad one. Victor had the ball at the top of the box, got it stolen off of him and Jake made a great 1 on 1 save but the rebound was put in. I am wondering if Akron was still on a high after the last win. After about 20 minutes they dominated and for the majority of the second half they had a great opportunity about every five minutes. They definitely deserved this win. Let's hope this gets them in the top 10 in the poll this week.
