no way...seriously this is not a good OSU team, missing key players, we can't hit a free throw to save our lives and our three pointers were awful. I will not get up for this team in the post season anymore until I see a win...way too pissed off at this team, every freaking year. How about one time win one of these, what more motivation could you have had than playing the suckeyes. I hope we have some athletic bigs coming in to go with these small guards next year. I won't know of any replies as I am out for now. Disgusted!

Okay see ya, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Wonderful season marred by a terrible final week. It really sucks to think of where this team could've gone had we been playing our best down the stretch instead of some of our worst.

We had a lid on the rim during OT. I think we scored 1.

They should have passed more, instead of dribbling around and taking wild shots. Watching too much LeBron?

And nobody mentions we were without our starting center.

I thought we had it with a few minutes left but it slipped away. I agree with Zippy, we need more BIG game experience. That inexperience was the reason we lost IMO.

Still proud to be a Zip, and face the Buckeye honks tomorrow at work. These guys played their ass off and were a couple made shots and/or crap calls away from winning.

Spare me the we were the better team BS. Better teams win.

I saw the same team the past week Jack up 3's and don't execute in the clutch.

Same team the last 3 games!

Amen to that!!!  How many 1&1's did we miss???

you know where I stand!!!!

I take back #officiating
the game wasn't that bad handed in how it was called.

It just came down to just a couple too many missed threes.
With all those three attempts racked up at the end of the game and to only be down several points....   wow.
Those were a lot of missed attempts to keep a game that close.

No regrets

What better proof does anyone need that the the whole 21 game streak means absolutely nothing?

Give me that game over a 20 point drubbing of Lipscomb every day.

No more bitching about deserving to be a bubble team ever again. Either win the MACC or win some other post-season games first. I am tired of all the MAC Conference success followed by not much. It is emotionally exhausting.

Big players make big plays in big games. Big teams find a way to win when not playing their best in big games.

That's coaching!!!!   I mean awful!!!

That's 100% not coaching. It's called missing open shots. We would've had 21 more points if we just shoot our normal percentage. That means we win the last two easily.

I'm sorry.  Did we hit the shots???  Did we win???    Did we hit free throws?? At least we got to the MAC tourney final!!!!!

It has nothing to do with a cavernous arena either. It is not having composure because we have not played any big games all year until the end of the season. Build a real OOC schedule.

You said it was the coach's fault I'm just pointing out how wrong that is

Same team the last 3 games!

You mean the whole season?

This team tonight was the same team that chucked 3's all year.... Same team as day 1. They lost to freaking Miami!

The lack of inside game (other than Big Dog) is why this team was the way they were this year.

You're exactly right, better teams win. Akron had to play their best to win this game, they didn't. It's too bad because tonight was the night that it could've happened.

I'll see your lipscomb win and raise you our unbeaten streak against Coppin St for a win over OSU.

The sky is not falling, the sun will come up tomorrow, and one year we won't lose a starter to a season-ending injury or arrest.

Wow lots of negativity on here.  Looks like the Zips ran out of gas, that happens when you play 4 games in 6 days.  I believe OSU had a few more days off then we did (or at least did not play as many games in the last week that the Zips did).  We do need more of an inside game than just Big Dog.  FT's were the problem, but most of them were by Big Dog who was probably Dog tired :)

Also remember the Zips should have hosted this game based on RPI.  Even with our poor FT and 3PT percentage I think the Zips would have won at home.

I am looking forward to next year!

Yeah, we may have won at home. However, we have to win a big game that is not at home before any of these injustices regarding RPI are valid.

I've had way too much to drink and am way too frustrated to go on a ramble, but we had them where we wanted them. We failed to execute even though we were put in a position to win. Our inexperience on the big stage showed as some of our young players pressed too hard.

Overall I was proud of the effort. The shots may not have fell, but I could see everyone was giving the full 110% effort. Had they played with this defensive intensity vs. Buffalo, we would have won.

Are we really using the 4th game in 6 days excuse??   We were playing in the MAC final for a shot at the NCAA.  OSU lost in the quarter finals.   Should have stayed with the old format.  At least Akron would not have to play til Fridays semifinal.
