I usually like these early sbnation reviews, but there is no mention of Ball, Krok (if he is here), or Bell among others that could really help in 16. Schedule is tough for a rebuild year. Section210Zip
It also didn't give Lane his due credit on offense. For the first time in a long time, I'm good with the WR core. I'm also ok with Woody. Especially if he keeps progressing. The other items are legitimate concerns. I'm excited to see this version of the 2016 Zips offense.

Also helps when you have legit deep threats to spread the D out.

He needs to double his catches per game to truly be worthy of the attention. The thing to remember is that he is still learning the WR position. I hope he keeps his head together and becomes a great receiver for the Zips. Yes, you could say that Ball and Krok have not played for the Zips and Bell has not done much of anything either and that is why, maybe, they were not mentioned, but at least Lane's name did appear in the article. zipsoutsider
Neither Krok nor Ball appear in the spring prospectus. Lane was explosive when he made plays and has huge potential if his work ethic matches his potential. He was also our only threat, which made it easy to shut him down. It should help having JoJo here. I also think Michael Means, Austin Wolfe, and A.J. Coney will give us some great plays this year as well. Bell, apart from a handful of plays, only saw the field in special teams and he delivered some punishing hits. I am not concerned about his potential. Boxen also saw limited playing time. They are both still learning the system and will learn how to be aggressive as the season progresses. Their write-ups appear to be almost solely based upon stats or other write UPS so I don't expect them to give a lot of credit to our upcoming talent. Big questions marks are in the kicking game. I will be interested to watch the special teams play.

I'm concerned the kid could flake out, but maybe someone knows something. At least, he could be a spark plug on special teams, which we have sorely been missing. Lots of potential drama, with many young men's futures in the balance. Edited April 12, 2016 by UA1987

I watched Lane garner the attention of the defense without the ball coming his way often in the second half of the season. You don't always have to have the ball in your hand to be effective for your team. If our offense run different personnel packages than they did last year, his "stats" might have been better, but overall offensive effectiveness may have suffered.
