zippyfan34 Posted August 9, 2016 Report Posted August 9, 2016 Does this mean Sabbi isn't playing college ball? I thought I remember him having on his twitter UA Commit but I don't see that anymore. Quote

TennZip Posted August 9, 2016 Author Report Posted August 9, 2016 In my previous post, I tried to name the players. I want to give a tremendous amount of credit to Coach Embick, Leo and the entire staff. They have done a tremendous job recruiting this year and in past years. I am really looking forward to seeing this team take the field. The Akron zip soccer program has a great coaching staff and the team continues to be a super positive part of the University of Akron. Keep up the great work....Jared, Leo, etal. 2 Quote

TennZip Posted August 14, 2016 Author Report Posted August 14, 2016 A tremendous group of seniors. The two four year starters (Victor and Adam) have had incredible careers....with many more wins in their future. http://gozips.com/sports/msoc/2016-17/releases/20160814fj3oy6 "The first few days of training with the heat have been a little bit more inconsistent than we want, but the trainings have been intense," Akron head coach Jared Embick commented. "Monday is for perspective of where are we at based on an opponent in Oakland, who won its conference, and will be a good measuring stick. What we're looking for as coaches is to see where we have to go and how we have to improve heading into the opener." Quote
TennZip Posted August 14, 2016 Author Report Posted August 14, 2016 one thing that I have to mention about this great group of seniors....5 of the 6 last December.....were named to the academic all MAC teams. Of the 5, two had 3.69 GPAS, one had 3.73 in a very tough major (mechanical engrg) and one had 3.83 (and English is not this very smart young man's first language) and the great Tyler Sanda had a 3.93 GPA in biology. These young men are truly student athletes....that bring great pride to the University of Akron. 1 Quote
