Colin Kapernick Trickle Down Effect?

I pray that none of our players decides to follow in the footsteps of Kapernick. I get that it's his right, but that doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. I think it would be incredibly insulting to VMI. Are the players even on the field when it is played? I can't remember.

Thankfully, I don't believe they are.  But excellent point, none-the-less.

If this happens, I will pull all support for Zips football with communication to the HC, AD, and University President till the player(s) are disciplined, apologize. or are removed from the team. I don't care who they are (or who they think they are).

I can't wait until Kaepernick is cut this weekend, then he won't have to worry about standing every again. I'm sure he'll try to blame his stance as the reason, when in reality it will mostly be because he sucks.

Ahhh...I think you've got it.   He might already be looking for something else to blame, because of his poor performance, and his potentially inevitable exit.

I think a college player who has free tuition, room and board, and is still pretty poor would realize they are making a huge mistake, and has a lot to lose.  A veteran pro athlete who's already wealthy, lives in a mansion, and truly just wants to be an a-hole can be an entirely different story.

By far, the best reaction I've seen yet to Kaepernick.  She tells it like it is.  And although she's dead-on, and serous about it, she also makes it very entertaining, including how she feels about his playing ability.  And it doesn't hurt that the girl is a knockout.

Kapernick is a narcissistic excuse of a man.

Other than  commit a selfish, self aggrandizing display what has he done for the minority community?

LeBron James on occasion speaks out against issues that offend him. He is entitled to. LeBron

pours his heart into his community. LeBron EARNED the love and respect he is given. What

has Kapernick contributed?

I have a suggestion for Mister Kapernick. Give several million of your hardly earned dollars to the

community center of Harris County, Mississippi. The center that lost its two angels of mercy, white

nuns murdered by a black man. That they would be the first forgive and aid. Pour your spirit

into that poorest of poor community to aid and assist the thousands of mostly black souls who

were robbed of their health lifeline.

Do something positive you cretin.

A very interesting topic, that isn't really appropriate for this forum.

However...

The number of you that speak of loyalty and respect for the flag seem to drastically forget what it was that led to us having this country, and this flag, and this anthem.  In fact, had we always practiced that same loyalty and revelry for the flag, we would all be hold our hands over our hearts staring at this...

and singing "God Save the Queen".

We are not now, nor were we ever supposed to be a nationalist country.
