I think if Big Dog at high post was our normal base offense, and not the exception, we would have had a more entertaining offense and wouldn't have those late regular season embarrassing losses.

Maybe it could have been more entertaining.  And it may sound simple and boring.  But like I said, I don't know how you take a guy out of the low post who was able to muscle the ball into the basketball against nearly any defender in the league.  Maybe if we had another effective scorer down low, that would have been possible.  But in our case, we could only afford to post him up high under certain situations.

In a glorified scrimmage

You need not say any more than that. That's what an all-star game is.  That should be the end of any dialogue that has "Big Dog" and "3-Pointers" connected in the same sentence.

I'm a basketball coach. It's not simple and boring to me. I just found it evident in several games, especially the Ball State MAC semifinal game, that we forced it into Big Dog when he wasn't open because he was being fronted, and we would consistently turn it over. That game should not have been that close. If you move Big Dog to the high post, they can't front him. Plus, he has that quick first step and I feel putting him at the high post could have helped him use that more.

I appreciate your thoughts.  I was adding my own.  I meant that people might have seen our offense as simple and boring, versus some other "more exciting" offense.  Been there, done that.  So I might disagree with you on parts of what you said.  But overall, when it comes to specific play strategy I always recognize that I am not the one that's running that particular team every day, and knows those players and their abilities, plus the opponents players and abilities anywhere near as well as that coach of that team.   Every time we used a high post in man situations, it appeared that it was always Kwan high, and Big Dog low.  I'll trust that they felt this was the best option.  And for the most part, I understand and agree with it.

I actually find it rather interesting and entertaining, based on a few 3-pointers during an all-star game, that we are even having a conversation regarding "what could have been" with Big Dog as an offensive player further and further way from the basket.
