fknbuflobo
Here is the lineup I propose, from the players I anticipate being available. Zips have yet to solve RB. http://football-formation.com/lineup/69489/proposed-Akron-Zips-9-5-18 Create your own lineup at football-formation.com http://www.goseattleu.com/SportSelect.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=18200&SPID=11523&SPSID=94309&DB_OEM_ID=18200

zippypitt
If this group doesn't gel soon, the away schedule is going to eat them up. I'm hoping they get more from Abdi/Skye and a Zagac return would help too. Where has Kahsay been? Would like to see some minutes for Allen on backline.
malonepioneer12
Allen is too slow and I think he is redshirting. He could be a force if he can gain some speed. Kasay....not much to say except he was in the stands last game. He hadn’t done anything in the first two games and at this point I don’t expect him to do anything even if he is back on the field. Let #18 play over Kasay. I think enough is said there. Not sure what is going on with Skye - isn’t playing well.......but that being said he isn’t the only one not playing well that is for sure.

Ezana Kasay was in the stands last match, which usually indicates departure from team. I have no details whatsoever on that, but there is definitely a story. All signs point to Allen redshirting. No. I do not think Allen is too slow to play CB, if he plays smart. I like the big guy. Skye Harter has a recurring foot injury, the kind that will not heal by playing. That is no kind of medical opinion and I have no inside scoop. That is just me watching the horse trot before bets are laid on the race. Skye looks hurt. Yes. Return of Marcel Zajac is just what this team needs. Yes. #26 Abdi Mohamed seems like he should be a really good player, but he is not. Not yet anyway. Need to try him at a few different positions. Hell, maybe even RB. Did I miss anyone?
TennZip
Diogo Pacheco will also help the zips after he gets healthy. That young man has dealt with a lot during his first semester at Akron. Getting another option up front (the return to health of Zajac /Pacheco) to pair with David Egbo....can make the zips dynamic

Z.I.P.
Torrential rain in Seattle early in the contest. Even possession thru first fifteen. Ben Lundt has made 2 or 3 saves, so maybe more attack in the box from the RedHawks. Edit: SU 4 shots to 1 for Akron after 22 minutes. Guessing 3 sog to 0. Edited September 8, 2018 by Z.I.P. Z.I.P.
Marco Micaletto scores on Akron's first serious attacking play Egbo dribbled through -- he's looking like the most dangerous player on the pitch tonight. 1-0 Akron 23rd min. Z.I.P.
OMG! Seattle gets an unbelievable goal with exactly ten seconds to play -- inbounding from the half line, did our back three fall asleep?? The guy threw the ball forty yards, into the box and a Seattle player looked to be alone for a one timer to the left of a diving Lundt! Goodness! Halftime. 1-1. Zips hot just 2 shots in the first 45, 1 on goal by Nicoletto. Seattle had 8 shots, five on goal. Four saves by Ben.
bigzipguy
They were lazy getting back on D, thought the half was over. Stupid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Z.I.P.
Unfortunate end to the half, but we were frankly outplayed by a motivated Red Hawk group looking for NCAA tournament revenge. I dare say that this opponent is not nearly as good as the one we face on Sunday afternoon! Yikes. Edited September 8, 2018 by Z.I.P. Z.I.P.
2-1 Seattle. Three consecutive near-calls, beginning with a goal called back for off-side, followed by a play that an Akron defender had to clear off the goal line, and seconds later-- while the camera was reviewing the previous play, they score to go ahead 2-1. No offensive attack by Akron tonight! Edited September 8, 2018 by Z.I.P.
Z.I.P.
Clock stopped for an injured Seattle player with 5:15 to play. The injured player is the Red Hawk captain. Still 2-1. Edited September 8, 2018 by Z.I.P.
bigzipguy
1.) no real offense so far this year 2.) Constantly getting beat in the midfield 3.) I have never witnessed passing this bad in the many years of watching Zips soccer 4.) It is still early, but, I cannot believe I am going to say this: A real possibility of a .500 season or LESSSSSSSSSS
zippyfan34
The throw in they scored before the half should have been ours. The ball didn’t touch Colin on the way out.
ZZZips
So much for all the fuss about the preseason rankings. Can we even make it to the NCAA's post season?

I know that this team has many young players but they have to focus.
