ISU will end up beating Texas and/or Oklahoma and competing for the conference champ. and this will just look in retrospect like an uninspired opening day win. And UNI will compete for their conf. champ. as well.

I think both Texas and Oklahoma would have less interest in joining the MAC than UNI.

UNI is not Division I football and has no money to fund such a move, so this is moot thought. https://www.press-citizen.com/story/news/education/college/2015/07/17/uni-iowa-isu-regents-funding-subsidies/30301673/

UNI is in Division 1 football, but I believe their FCS status precludes their admission into the MAC. That does not mean that they wouldn't be competitive in the MAC or that I can't wish that they were in it.

NDSU would also be a good addition.  Suppose we can get them to relocate to Illinois?

Many North Dakota State fans are eager to move from FCS.  They just pound everyone and beat FBS teams.

For a program like NDSU I think it's a situation of be careful for what you wish for. They kind of have a good thing going for them in FCS with fan support and being able to compete at the top of their division, which also brings them notoriety. Similar to what Mount Union has going for them in D3.

And they have far more success and Fan support than Akron will EVER have :(

They have so much to do in Fargo to keep them from football...

Fargo is a city in North Dakota. The Plains Art Museum exhibits regional, contemporary and Native American works in a revamped old warehouse. Modern and vintage airplanes are on display at the Fargo Air Museum, spread over 2 hangars. The nearby Fargodome is an indoor stadium hosting college football games, concerts and theatrical shows. Red River Zoo shelters cold climate species such as red pandas and gray wolves.

Have you been to the vast majority of Ohio?  You might as well be in North Dakota...

That's why we moved to Iowa.  So much more to do here!  ?   Seriously, we may not have much, but we have plenty!
